Holding Space

A Question of Time. Christian Burchard.

Annual Professional Outreach Program Exhibition and Auction of Small Scale Works in Wood March 22 through May 22, 2026 Online Live Auction June 6th

Holding Space is this year's theme for the POP Show, an annual juried exhibition presented since 2007 that brings together established artists and emerging makers from ten countries. Each year a new theme serves as a springboard for creativity, and this year's invites participants to consider what it means to create or contain space — physically, emotionally, or metaphorically. All pieces must fit within 6" × 6" × 6". Small objects, big talent.

Always on display: Art from the Lathe: Selections from the AAW Collections. Around the Hus: the Role of Woodturning in 19th Century Scandinavian Domestic Life. Touch This! History and technology of woodturning, and things you can touch!
