Kavya Trehan is multi - talented creative from New Delhi. She started theatre at the age of 9 at the National School of Drama and continued doing public productions through her years at Lady Shri Ram College while pursuing her Bachelors in Psychology. She has dabbled in films - starring in Ishaan Nair's "Kaash - if only" that premiered at Tokyo International Film Festival. Further, she's been in various television commercials, and editorial publishings. Her solo project, KAVYA is a celebration of raw emotion and her roots, where all songs have been developed from guitar parts and trusty voice-notes. In 2016, she finally picked up Abelton and is on a relentless spree of releasing her own material that has more of a R&B, electronic and indie-pop vibe. After critically acclaimed releases of her singles, Underscore, Golden and Quin and EP "Know Me Better" in 2021 - Kavya is focusing on her upcoming album in London through an artist residency with Pirate Radio.

‘Underscore’, her first solo release, expresses the gut need to not take things too seriously and the rewards of misdirection, as the best lessons in life are learnt when you dust yourself off after a fall. Pairing KAVYA's blissful vocal chops with bleepy, bloopy synths and ambient beats. “Underscore” is a real downtempo delight that's sure to appeal to fans of the Majestic Casual label.

"Golden" is an ode of self-love atop sparse percussions, bass lines and soft piano chords. Her songwriting continues to feature a carefree structural approach, lending her songs a conversational quality through sporadic lyrical phrases and melodic variance, while making the track abstract enough to avoid being overtly pop. With ‘Golden’, Trehan shifts her downtempo-rooted music away from ‘Underscore’s playful dream pop towards R&B-inspired sobriety - adding a fresh variation in her upward trajectory as a solo artist.

KAVYA x CHAZ
In 2018, Kavya x Chaz was founded as an artist collaboration from Delhi comprising of Kavya Trehan, vocalist of the dance and grime band "MOSKO" and Chaitanya Bhalla from the highly acclaimed, "The Skavengers". They have toured with their respective bands and now have joined forces to release tunes with an explorative sound dabbling in electronica, folk, hip-hop.to test crowds with their own productions and also create music together. The recent tour was accompanying Sandunes and Bonobo Live at Vh1 Supersonic Festival, 2019.
Over the years, there have been various collaborations with other Indian artists, such as, "Take Me There" with Nucleya, "Zero Hour and Opaque" with Dualist Inquiry, Grain, "In Dreams" with Curtain Blue, Chaitanya Bhalla and is currently working on both domestic and international collaborations.
DUO/BAND
MOSKO is a dance/electronic act from Delhi. Moses and Kavya came together to form the set-up just 10 odd days before their first ever performance at Ragasthan 2014 Music Festival that happens in the middle of the Khuri Dunes. Suyash (drums) and Amar (Bass) joined the line up later, and ever since then there has been no looking back for them. Deriving influences from topics and subjects as diverse as Manga and anime to tea,independent drama and films. An evocative cinematic experience with a hint of ballroom waltz, emotional subversion and copious amounts of noir.
Teeth is the debut EP by MOSKO.
Known for its textural, dark and borderline electronic dance sound, MOSKO took its time to bring its most cohesive sound to the audience. More than 3 years in the making. The EP has been marinating, changing hands, and changing creative directions. "TEETH" has been a true test of patience needed in the pursuit of a product that the band feels truly proud of.
Delving into topics that are deeply personal to extremely bizarre, the theme of the EP is as enigmatic as the listener wants to make it. MOSKO has always been known to keep things open to interpretation but giving the sound a visual identity. Their aim is the same with "TEETH". To keep it as ugly as pretty can be.

Kavya Trehan has worked with astounding actors and directors over the years. Post her acting debut in "Kaash" she's continued to work with veterans in the film industry, such. as, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shahana Goswami, Akarsh Khurana, Tanuja Chandra and in 2020 was a part of 3 OTT projects for Amazon Prime, Lionsgate Play and Sony Liv which are to be released in 2022.
