Beckum's Portfolio ADP 2025-2026

My Photography portfolio

On this site, you will explore my work and the different projects we do throughout the year. First, you will learn about me, my camera, and then the photos from my first and second project. Although I've started the year pretty new to the programs and different camera settings, I think I've grasped the concept well in the first few weeks. I've learned to use Photoshop, customize my camera settings, and find interesting subjects that interest me. That's what I enjoy about photography, finding the joy in the smaller things because I'm constantly looking for something to take a picture of.

About Me

Hey! i am Beckum and i love to run cross country and i am also avid about playing soccer. I am a Christian and love fishing with friends. I like to watch soccer, mostly Bayern Muchin as they are my favorite team.

Explorer Project

In this project, we gathered 20 google and 5 personal images that were each edited with the different tools in photoshop. The goal of this project was to learn the different tools that we could use in photoshop and what they did. As stated earlier, we used photoshop to edit our photos and the wide variety of tools that came with. My favorite photo was the second photo placed below because of its comedic value as well as the shading i incorporated that i think was an improvement from last year

GTK (get to know) Project

In this project, we were tasked with taking 30 photos in the attempt for us to learn how our cameras functioned and the different modes included that helped in specialized situation. for example, macro mode for close up shots and sports mode for moving objects and people. Of these 30 photos, 15 went towards a large collage, 10 went towards a smaller one and the other five were included on the side as stand-alones. In this, we used the built in Ai and gradient tools to make backgrounds for the collage photos to sit on, as well as including photo affects to help the photos pop off the background. My favorite photo is the one of the light on the bottom right. this is my favorite because of the contrast of the darkness and light plus the candlelight yellow produced by the aged bulb that adds character.

Generative A.I.

In this project, we had to make 4 photos based off of the generative A.I. feature built into photoshop. The first photo was a photo everyone was given and we were to all add random stuff and modify the image using the A.I features. For the second photo, we had to make a background completely from A.I. and add features onto it also using A.I. For the third, we took a photo of someone else and used ai to turn them into a superhero/villain. Lastly, we took a photo of someone and just added random features in with A.I.

W.I.P. Project

In this project, we were trying to take photos and make words out of them. We were required to shoot items in a way to make them look like letters, and then use these photos in order to make different words. For example, i used my running shoes to make the "U' in " Running". We used photoshop and opened a blank project to add the photos onto from which we then put them together in a desirable way. My favorite word i made was running. This is because of the many items i had to use in order to create a variety of letters. For example, the "I" in the word using a gear and a railroad nail.

Pictorialist Project

In this project, we were attempting to create a photo or comic esc style for each photo we took. We were required to take a self portrait and add a variety of filters to it to create an artistic look to it. Along with this, we were asked to make one similar to this, but it instead had 5 subjects, each having to have a different filter. The last thing we did was a collage of any photo we liked and we had to add a filter to each, one normal and then 8 of the rest had to have our favorite filters. To do this, we used photoshops many artistic option like the filter gallery, distort options, and brush tool. My favorite is the collage because i like the overall photo i took and the filters helped me to understand the options i had for later projects.

E.A.P.D. Project

Stands for "Elements of art and principles of design". In this project, we took photos that represented each of the 8 elements of art. We were required to take photos that emphasized Shape, color, line, space, texture, form, and value. At the end, we compiled each photo, three from each category, and made a collage of them all. We did this my isolating each element in specific photos we took, for example, taking away the color from a picture of a ball to emphasize its form. My favorite photo from this project is the silhouette of my friend. This is my favorite because i think it does a goo job at representing shape while also being cool photo within that.

Composition Technique

In this project, we took photos that showed values of composition technique. we were required to take photos that followed the rules of composition technique, that being leading lines, framing, rule of thirds, reflections, worms eye view, birds eye view, shadows and silhouettes, repetition, motion, forced perspective. We then combined these photos and layered them using layering effects and blending options to create a surrealistic effect. We did this by taking specific photos and editing them to look better with the skills and filters that we learned earlier this year. My favorite photo is my layered photo using a Christmas tree, a silhouette, and leading lines of a person.
