Otselic Valley students enjoyed a special performance of The Three Bears presented by Tri-Cities Opera through its Opera-Go-Round program. Designed specifically for younger audiences, the performance introduced students to the art of opera through storytelling, music, acting, and live accompaniment. Inspired by the familiar tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the production explored themes of kindness, belonging, and respect while engaging students in a fun and interactive way. Following the performance, students had the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session with the performers, learning more about opera, vocal performance, and the work that goes into bringing a production to the stage. In addition to providing an enjoyable experience for elementary students, the performance also offered valuable exposure for OV music and voice students, giving them a closer look at live vocal performance and the performing arts.
Thank you to Tri-Cities Opera for sharing this educational and entertaining experience with our students and helping inspire an appreciation for music, theater, and storytelling.
