Can all families remember that they must book their child's meal on ParentPay before 8am each day as it helps the kitchen staff cater accordingly. This includes children who are in receipt of Free School Meals and those children in all classes up to Year 6 who are entitled to UPFSM.

Bydd Mrs Millon yn ymddeol ar ddiwedd y flwyddyn academaidd hon. Mae Mrs. Millon wedi bod yn aelod amhrisiadwy o'n tîm, sy'n ymroddedig i gefnogi ein dysgwyr a sicrhau eu bod yn derbyn y gofal a'r addysg gorau posibl. Mrs. Caron Millon, will be retiring at the end of this academic year. Mrs. Millon has been an invaluable member of our team, dedicated to supporting our learners and ensuring they receive the best possible care and education. Her contributions over the years have been immense, and she will be greatly missed by the children, parents, and colleagues alike.

Yn ystod ein thema'r hanner tymor yma, rydym wedi parhau i ddysgu am ein hamgylchedd a sut i ofalu amdano. Mae’r stori ‘Llysiau Oliver’ wedi bod yn sbardun i ni ac wedi rhoi llawer o syniadau hwylus i'w gwneud yn y dosbarth. Wrth weld a dysgu am y llysiau gwahanol gwnaeth Oliver ddarganfod yn y stori, penderfynodd y plant i greu siop lysiau lle'r oedd cyfleoedd i brynu a blasu’r llysiau oedd ar werth. Buodd pawb yn brysur iawn yn paratoi’r llysiau cyn coginio, ac roedd yn ddiddorol iawn i weld pa lysiau oedd eu hoff lysiau a pha rhai doedden nhw ddim yn hoffi. Rydym wedi bod wrth ein bodd yn tyfu berwr, tatws, moron, letys a llawer mwy ac rydym yn edrych ymlaen at weld y newidiadau yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf. Rydym hefyd wedi dangos diddordeb i ddysgu am fywyd ffermio a thrafod y gwahanol anifeiliaid sydd yn byw yna. Gwnaeth pawb fwynhau creu ein hoff anifeiliaid allan o does halen a pheintio, a chreu magnetau i fynd adref. Mae’r byd bach 'y fferm' yn y dosbarth wedi bod yn boblogaidd iawn hefyd ble roedd rhaid adeiladu a gofalu amdano - ffermwyr y dyfodol.

During our theme this half term, we have continued learning about our environment and how to look after it. The story 'Oliver's Vegetables' has inspiration and given us lots of fun ideas for things to do in class. After seeing and learning about the different vegetables Oliver discovered in the story, the children decided to create a vegetable shop in class where there were opportunities to buy and taste the vegetables for sale. Everyone was very busy preparing the vegetables before cooking, and it was really interesting to see which vegetables were their favourite vegetables and which ones they didn't like. We have loved growing cress, potatoes, carrots, lettuce and many more in our outside garden and look forward to seeing the changes in the coming weeks. The class was also enthusiastic to learn about the life of farming and discuss the different animals that live there. We decided to make magnets to take home showing our favourite farm animals out of salt dough and have enjoyed decorating them. We have also loved building a farm in our small world area, where we have enjoyed playing with all of the different animals – we have some future farmers in the making.

Derbyn
Dyma ni ar ddiwedd blwyddyn ysgol arall. Rydym wedi dysgu a gwneud llawer o bethau gwahanol yn ystod y tymor. Gwnaethom fwynhau gwrando ar stori ‘Cyw ar y fferm’. Dysgom lawer o anifeiliaid y fferm a’u cartrefi trwy godio’r ‘Beebot’ i symud o’r anifail at ei gartref cywir – roedd hyn y llawer o hwyl! Gwnaethom barhau i ymarfer ein sgiliau cyfri, ffurfio a chofnodi rhifau yn gywir wrth gyfri’r gwahanol anifeiliaid yn yr ardal byd bach a gwnaethom barhau i ymarfer ein sgiliau casglu data trwy nodi ein hoff anifail ar y fferm a throsglwyddo’r wybodaeth i greu pictogram ar y cluniaduron. Buom yn brysur iawn hefyd yn prynu a gwerthu ysgytlaeth blasus yn ein caffi tu allan. Roedd yn llawer o hwyl!
Rydym wedi bod yn gweithio’n galed yn datblygu ein sgiliau darllen gan adeiladu a darllen geiriau Tric a Chlic ynghyd a dysgu eu cofnodi gan ffurfio’r llythrennau yn gywir.
Mae gennym arddwyr o fri yn y dosbarth Derbyn! Maent wedi dysgu i ofalu ar ôl rhannau o’r rhandir gan sicrhau fod popeth yn cael dŵr yn ddyddiol. Buon nhw’n cadw llygad ar dyfiant y planhigion ac yn penderfynu ar yr amser gorau i dynnu’r gwahanol lysiau a ffrwythau yn barod i’w gwerthu yn ein Bocs Bwyd blasus.
Ar ddiwedd tymor prysur arall gwnaethom fwynhau amser ar y traeth gyda’n ffrindiau ym Mharc Gwledig Penbre. Buom yn adeiladu cestyll tywod gyda’n gilydd cyn dod nôl yn hapus, ond blinedig, i’r ysgol. Wedi cyrraedd nôl cawsom bicnic tedi ber gyda’n gilydd yn yr haul – roedd yn brynhawn hyfryd. Mwynhewch y gwyliau ac fe welwn ni chi ym mis Medi!
Here we are at the end of term and another school year. We have enjoyed learning and doing many different things during the term. We enjoyed listening to the story ‘Cyw ar y fferm.’ We learned about the different animals on the farm and where they live by coding the ’Beebot’ to move the animal to its home. We continued to practice our counting, forming and recording numbers correctly by counting the various animals in the small world area - the farmyard. We continued to develop our data collecting skills of our favourite farm animal and transferred this information to the laptop in the form of a pictogram. We have also been very busy buying and selling milkshakes in our outdoor café.
We have been working hard on our reading skills and concentrated mainly on our ‘Tric a Chlic’ words. We have been practicing forming letters correctly when recording these words also.
We have some excellent gardeners in our midst in the Reception class! They have learnt to look after parts of the allotment and ensure that everything is watered daily. They kept an eye on the growth of the plants and decided on the best time to harvest the crops ready to sell in our Big Bocs Bwyd.
At the end of another busy term, we enjoyed on the beach with our friends at Pembrey Country Park. We built sandcastles together before coming back happy, but tired, to school. Back at school we enjoyed a teddy bears picnic in the sun – it was a lovely afternoon. Enjoy the summer holidays and we look forward to seeing you all in September.
Bronwen Lewis
Buom yn ffodus iawn i gael Bronwen Lewis i'r ysgol mis diwethaf. Gweithiodd gyda disgyblion Blwyddyn 3-6 yn y bore i gyfansoddi cân am Gymru, Trimsaran a'r ysgol.
Yn y prynhawn bu Bronwen yn perfformio i'r ysgol gyfan. Cafodd y disgyblion a'r staff amser arbennig.
We were very fortunate to have Bronwen Lewis at school last month. She worked with Year 3-6 pupils in the morning to compose a song about Wales, Trimsaran and our school.
In the afternoon, Bronwen performed for the whole school. The pupils and staff had a wonderful time.
Blwyddyn 1
Y tymor hwn rydym wedi parhau i ddysgu popeth am fwystfilod bach. Yn dilyn ymlaen o’r hanner tymor blaenorol, fe ddefnyddion ni’r hyn roedden ni wedi’i ddysgu am yr hyn oedd ei angen ar greaduriaid amrywiol i ddechrau cynllunio ein ‘Gwesty Trychfilod.’ Fe wnaethom ddatblygu ein sgiliau llythrennedd a rhifedd trwy ysgrifennu rhestr ac amcangyfrif faint oedd ei angen arnom. Roeddem wrth ein bodd yn casglu ein holl adnoddau a gweithio fel tîm i roi ein gwesty trychfilod at ei gilydd. Yn ystod yr ychydig wythnosau diwethaf, rydym wedi mwynhau mynd i ymweld â'n gwesty a gweld pa greaduriaid sydd wedi dod i aros. Fe wnaethom barhau i ddatblygu ein sgiliau llythrennedd ymhellach trwy ddysgu am gysyllteiriau amser a berfau i ysgrifennu cyfarwyddiadau ar sut i wneud gwesty trychfilod. Un o’n hoff weithgareddau'r hanner tymor yma oedd cwblhau helfa trychfilod. This term we have continued learning all about minibeasts. Following on from the previous half term, we used what we had learnt about what various creatures needed to start planning our ‘Bug Hotel.’ We developed our literacy and numeracy skills by writing a list and estimating how much we needed. We loved collecting all our resources and working as a team to put our bug hotel together. During the last couple of weeks, we have enjoyed going to visit our bug hotel and seeing what creatures have come to stay. We continued to develop our literacy skills further by learning about time connectives and verbs to write instructions on how to make a bug hotel. One of our favourite activities this half term was completing a bug hunt. We worked very well in pairs or small groups to read the clues to know for which bug we had to search. As well as learning about estimation we have also been developing our understanding of rotation. This has been especially useful when coding the BeeBot to move to specific locations. We have also been busy continuing to develop our number skills with ‘Winning with Numbers.’ We love completing the quizzes and moving on to the next level. Our year in Blwyddyn 1 has flown by and we cannot believe that it is already time to move onto the next chapter. Saying that, we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day in Year 2 and look forward to starting in our new class in September. We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday, and we will see you all soon.
Blwyddyn 2
Dyma ni wedi cyrraedd diwedd ein taith ym Mlwyddyn 2! Ble’r aeth yr amser?! Rydym wedi cael blwyddyn llawn hwyl a sbri ac wedi creu atgofion bythgofiadwy. Rydym wedi gorffen y flwyddyn gyda thymor prysur arall! Mae’r plant wedi mwynhau gwneud llawer o weithgareddau tu allan gan gynnwys adeiladu lloches, plannu perlysiau a llysiau, cyflawni helfa eitemau gwersylla a chasglu blodau i greu gwaith celf gyda phaent a chlai. Uchafbwynt ein hanner tymor oedd trip i goedwig Ffwrnes lle cawsom y cyfle i brintio gyda dail, creu fframiau pren, dysgu sut i greu lloches a chael sesiwn ganu o gwmpas y tân Dyna joio i chi! Fe wnaethom hefyd ganu o flaen ein rhieni a chriw ffilmio S4C er mwyn dathlu agoriad y Bocs Bwyd Blasus. Hefyd, enillom y gystadleuaeth ddarllen tymor diwethaf felly aethom ar daith draw i’r parc a chawsom hufen iâ i ddathlu. Mae’n glir i weld ein bod ni heb stopio ac i gyd yn barod am y gwyliau! Yna, ymlaen i’r antur nesaf ym Mlwyddyn 3. Mwyhewch yr haf a gwelwn ni chi ym mis Medi.
Well, we have reached the end of our journey in Year 2! Where did the time go?! We have had a year full of fun and excitement and have created unforgettable memories. We have finished the year with yet another busy term! The children have enjoyed doing many outside activities including building shelters, planting herbs and vegetables, carrying out a treasure hunt for camping items and collecting flowers to create art work with paint and clay. The highlight of our half term was a trip to Ffwrnes forest where we had the opportunity to print with leaves, create wooden frames, learn how to create a shelter and have a singing session around a fire. So much fun! We also sang in front of our parents and the S4C filming crew to celebrate the opening of the Food Box. Last term we won the reading competition, so we went on a trip to the park and had ice cream to celebrate. It's clear to see that we haven't stopped and are all ready for the holidays! Then, on to the next adventure in Year 3. Enjoy the summer and we'll see you in September!
Bocs Bwyd Blasus Trimsaran
Diolch i'r disgyblion am ddiddanu ein rhieni/gwarcheidwaid yn agoriad ein 'Bocs Bwyd Blasus' ar Fehefin 19eg.
Bydd 'Bocs Bwyd Blasus Trimsaran' yn siop fwyd fforddiadwy. Ein nod yw darparu bwyd i'n teuluoedd am bris 'talu fel y gallwch'. Gobeithiwn gofrestru'r Bocs Bwyd fel elusen yn y dyfodol agos i helpu achosion da a pharhau i ddarparu bwyd i'r gymuned. Nod yr ysgol yw lleihau gwastraff bwyd a milltiroedd bwyd, a dyna pam y byddwn yn tyfu cynnyrch ffres yn ein rhandiroedd ar gyfer y Bocs Bwyd. Mae gwastraff bwyd ar draws y byd yn enfawr ac rydym ni fel ysgol yn gobeithio gwella hynny.
Bydd y siop yn rhan o'n cwricwlwm ysgol. Gyda'r plant yn ei ddefnyddio fel her bywyd go iawn! Byddant yn cynllunio popeth. Maen nhw eisoes wedi bod yn rhan o ddylunio'r arwyddion ac wrth symud ymlaen yn cynllunio gyda chyllideb gan ddefnyddio arian go iawn a thargedau ar gyfer y siop. Mae'r plant eisoes wedi dysgu cymaint drwy greu'r rhandiroedd ar dir yr ysgol. Byddwn yn parhau i ddysgu sgiliau bywyd go iawn - plannu, cynnal, gwerthu a gwella. Bydd hefyd yn eu helpu i ddod yn ddysgwyr cynaliadwy. Bydd ein plant hefyd yn cael profiadau bywyd go iawn trwy helpu yn y siop. Fel ysgol rydym yn teimlo y bydd cael y plant yn rhan o'r prosiect hwn yn helpu i wella eu dysgu ac ennill profiadau bywyd go iawn.

Thank you to pupils for entertaining our parents/guardians at the opening of our 'Bocs Bwyd Blasus' on 19th June.
'Bocs Bwyd Blasus Trimsaran' will be an affordable food shop. Our aim is to provide food to our families at a ‘pay what you can’ price. We aim to register the Bocs Bwyd as a charity in the near future to help good causes and to continue to provide food to the community. The aim of the school is to reduce food waste and food miles, which is why we will be growing fresh produce in our allotments for the Bocs Bwyd. Food waste across the world is huge and we as a school hope to improve that.
The shop will be part of our school curriculum. With children using it as a real life challenge! They will plan everything. They have already been part of designing the signage and moving on will be budgeting using real money and targets for the shop. The children have already learned so much by creating the allotments on the school ground. We will continue to learn real life skills- planting, maintaining, selling and improving. It will also help them become sustainable learners. Our children will also get real life experiences by helping in the shop. As a school we feel that having the children part of this project will help improve their learning and gain real life experiences.
The shop will be open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 14:30-15:30.
During the Summer Holidays the shop will be open once a week on Thursday 12:00-13:00.
Blwyddyn 3
Dyna hanner tymor olaf y flwyddyn yn dod i ben! Rydym wedi bod yn brysur yn parhau gyda’n thema ‘Grymoedd Gwych. Rydym wedi creu parasiwt i archwilio sut mae disgyrchiant a gwrthiant aer yn effeithio ar wahanol deganau. Rydym hefyd wedi bod yn brysur yn edrych ar deganau ar draws y canrifoedd a chreom ni linell amser o deganau hanesyddol. Aethon ni ati i ddylunio, ymchwilio a chreu tegan sy’n symud. Roedd yn effeithiol iawn!
Yn ystod y tymor yma, gwnaethom barhau i astudio nofel y dosbarth, sef ‘The Wild Robot’. Rydym wedi creu cerfluniaeth o’r robot allan o fetel. Fe wnaethom ni hefyd arbrofi efo printio wrth greu llun o Roz, y robot o’r nofel. Gwnaethom gydweithio i greu gêm o ‘Top Trumps’ o’r gwahanol anifeiliaid o’r nofel. Yn ogystal â hynny, aethon ni ati i greu clip o’r nofel wrth ddefnyddio iMovie. Roedd rhaid recordio sawl clip o’r cymeriadau a'u hychwanegu i iMovie gan ddefnyddio, testun, delweddau a cherddoriaeth. Roedd y clipiau yn ddiddorol iawn!
Yn ein gwersi ysgrifennu estynedig, penderfynodd Blwyddyn 3 ysgrifennu erthygl papur newydd fel testun adroddiad i’r hanner tymor. Ysgrifennon nhw erthygl ar ymweliad Bronwen Lewis i’r ysgol. Roedd yn ddiwrnod bythgofiadwy i’r ysgol gyfan! Hefyd, ysgrifennodd Blwyddyn 3 stori ‘Gyda’n Gilydd’ ar ffurf Pie Corbett. Stori am ffrindiau, goddefgarwch a charedigrwydd. Roedd eu storiâu yn wych!
The last half term of the year has come to an end! Year 3 have been busy continuing their learning within the theme ‘Fantastic Forces’. We made parachutes to explore and understand how gravity and other forces affect how toys work and move. We’ve also been looking at how toys have changed over the centuries and made a timeline to see how they’ve evolved and why. The students then went on to research, design and create their own toys that move out of cardboard.
During this half term, we continued with our class novel, ‘The Wild Robot’. We made sculptures of Roz the Robot out of tin foil, and they were very effective! Year 3 also collaborated on making a database on different animals from the novel to make a game of Top Trumps. Once they’d collected the data, they’d inputted it into a shared document, we printed them out and played a game of Top Trumps with them! They also made a few scenes from the novel through using iMovie. The students made the characters out of Playdoh and then filmed a few clips of the scenes. They then used the clips in iMovie to create a short advert through using sounds, pictures and text.
In our extended writing lessons, we decided to write a newspaper report on Bronwen Lewis’ visit to the school. We wrote about how she helped us write and perform a song and her gig at the end of the day! We also wrote a story called ‘Gyda’n Gilydd’ using Pie Corbett strategies to retell the story all about friendship and kindness.
Blwyddyn 4
Mae hanner tymor olaf blwyddyn 4 wedi dod i ben! Esboniad oedd ein genre yr hanner tymor yma ac fe ysgrifennon ni esboniad yn egluro pam fod angen pwll ar dir ein hysgol; denu bio-amrywiaeth oedd y ffocws. Yna, fe wnaethon ni ysgrifennu rheolau i'w harddangos wrth ymyl ein pwll. Nesaf, darllenon ni gerdd o’r enw Sŵn gan T Llew Jones. Yn dilyn hynny, fe wnaethom ysgrifennu destun perswadiol yn nodi pam a sut y dylai pobl fynd i drochi mewn pyllau. Ar ôl hynny, edrychom ar ble yn y byd mae brogaod yn byw a nodi’r cyfesurynnau’n gywir ar fap y byd. Edrychon ni hefyd ar ffigyrau llyffantod, y rhai gafodd eu harbed a'r rhai yn anffodus na gafodd eu harbed. Wedyn fe wnaethon ni greu graff. Yn ein gwersi ymarfer corff rydym wedi bod yn canolbwyntio ar gêm wych yr haf; rownderi, mae'r plant yn gwybod y rheolau i gyd, efallai y gallwch chi chwarae'r gêm hon yn ystod y gwyliau. Yn ein gwersi mathemateg rydym wedi dysgu’r gwahaniaeth rhwng ongl lem, aflem ac ongl sgwâr. Fe wnaethon ni hefyd astudio'r cwmpawd, a chreu un gyda Micro:bit. Dysgon ni sut i ddefnyddio thermomedr a dewis ardaloedd gwahanol o gwmpas yr ysgol i fesur y tymheredd. Ar ôl hyn, edrychon ni ar ddilyniannu a phatrymau. Buom yn hynod o ffodus i dreulio pob dydd Iau am chwe wythnos yn coginio gyda; Hazel, Esme, Elena Ffion a Bryn. Dysgon ni amrywiaeth o sgiliau coginio a gallwn helpu i baratoi a choginio cinio neu swper yn ystod gwyliau'r haf. Mwynhewch wyliau haf bendigedig gyda'ch teuluoedd a'ch ffrindiau, mwynhewch bob antur a thrysorwch bob eiliad.
The last half term of year 4 has come to an end!! Our genre this half term was explanation and we wrote an explanation as to why we needed a pond in our school grounds; attracting bio-diversity was the focus. Then, we wrote rules to display beside our pond. Next, we read a poem called 'Sŵn' by T Llew Jones. Following that, we wrote a persuasive text as to why and how people should go pond dipping. Next we looked at where in the world frogs live and noted the correct coordinates of the world map. We also looked at the figures of toads, the ones saved and the unfortunate ones, we created a graph. In our p.e. lessons we have been focussing on the great summer game; rounders, the children know all of the rules, perhaps you could play this game during the holidays. In our maths lesson we have learnt the difference between acute, obtuse and square angles. We also studied the compass, and created one with a Micro:bit. We learnt how to use a thermometer and chose different areas around the school to measure the temperatures. After this, we looked at sequencing and patterns. We were incredibly lucky and spent every Thursday for six weeks cooking with; Hazel, Esme, Elena Ffion and Bryn. We learnt a range of cooking skills and can help prepare and cook lunch or supper over the school holidays. Prosiect Cook 24 Project
Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 4 wedi cymryd rhan mewn prosiect coginio yn yr ysgol, gan gynnwys taith i fferm i helpu gwneud caws. Ariennir y prosiect gan y Llywodraeth ac mewn partneriaeth â Choleg Sir Gâr.
Mae'r disgyblion wedi mwynhau gwersi coginio bob dydd Iau yn yr ysgol gan gogyddion proffesiynol. Yn ystod eu sesiwn olaf, gwahoddwyd y rhieni i ymuno am sesiwn flasu. Dyma rai lluniau.
Year 4 pupils have been taking part in a cooking project at school and this included a trip to a farm and helped to make cheese. The project is funded by the Government and in partnership with Coleg Sir Gar.
Pupils have enjoyed cookery lessons every Thursday at the school from professional chefs. During their last session, parents were invited for a taster session. Here are some photos.
Taith i'r Senedd / Visit to the Welsh Assembly
Buom yn ffodus iawn i gael ein gwahodd i'r Senedd ar 12fed o Orffennaf i roi cyflwyniad i sôn am ein prosiect pwll dŵr i annog bio-amrywiaeth.

Cafodd y plant cyfle i gael taith o amgylch y Senedd a gweld y cychod gwenyn sydd ganddynt ar y safle.
We were very fortunate to have been invited to the Senedd on the 12th July to share our presentation about our pond project to encourage bio-diversity.

The pupils had an opportunity for a tour of the Senedd and see the beehives they currently have.
Blwyddyn 5
Dyma ni wedi cyrraedd diwedd y flwyddyn ysgol eto! Mae’n anodd credu bod y dosbarth ar fin dechrau eu blwyddyn olaf yn Nhrimsaran! Mae’r hanner tymor yma wedi bod yn un prysur iawn unwaith eto. Cawsom amser gwych yn croesawu Bronwen Lewis i’r ysgol i berfformio ar ein cyfer. Cawsom gyfle i weithio gyda hi i ail-ysgrifennu geiriau ar gyfer cân George Ezra, Shotgun. Fe gydweithiodd pawb yn wych i ddod fyny â geiriau i ddisgrifio Cymru a’n hardal ni a’r ysgol. Ac ar ben hynny, fe berfformiodd pawb yn hyderus o flaen y grwpiau eraill – talentau cudd gan rhai o’r disgyblion!
Hefyd, fe fu pawb yn brysur iawn gyda Mrs Armstrong yn cynllunio eu bocsys bwyd personol. Maent wedi sicrhau eu bod wedi eu addurno fel yr hoffan nhw ac hefyd yn insiwleiddio’r bwyd yn y bocs. Roedd yr holl waith ymchwil a wnaethon nhw cyn y gwyliau wedi eu helpu i ddewis y deunyddiau gorau ar gyfer eu gwaith.
Am bedair wythnos fe groesawon ni griw o bobl o CYCA i ddod i gwblhau gweithgareddau hydwythedd gyda phawb. Fe ddysgon nhw wahanol strategaethau ar sut i ddelio gyda sefyllfaoedd anodd a sut i’w goresgyn.
Un o hoff (a chas) weithgareddau’r dosbarth oedd yn bendant creu pŵ! Ydy mae mor afiach ac y mae’n swnio! Roedden ni’n astudio’r system dreulio yn y corff, felly y ffordd orau i ddeall sut oedd yn gweithio oedd i adeiladu’r system dreulio ein hunain. Fe ddefnyddion ni fagiau plastig, pibelli plastig, teits a chwpanau papur i ddangos y gwahanol rhannau. Ar ôl cnoi y bwyd yn y ceg (bag plastig) roedden ni’n gallu gweld sut oedd y bwyd yn symud trwy’r corff cyn dod allan mewn i’r toiled (cwpan papur). Edrychwch ar wynebau rhai o’r plant wrth weld cynnwys y cwpan papur! Ych a fi! Ond yn bendant fe helpodd hyn bawb i gofio sut mae’r system dreulio yn gweithio a’r pwysigrwydd o fwyta’n iach ac yfed dŵr.
Mwynhewch wyliau’r haf!
We have reached the end of the school year again! It's hard to believe that the class is about to start their final year at Trimsaran! This half term has been a very busy one once again. We had a great time welcoming Bronwen Lewis to school to perform for us. We had the opportunity to work with her to re-write lyrics for George Ezra's song Shotgun. Everyone worked together brilliantly to come up with words to describe Wales and our area and the school. And on top of that, everyone performed confidently in front of the other groups – hidden talents from some of the pupils!
Also, everyone was very busy with Mrs Armstrong designing their personal lunchboxes. They have made sure they are decorated the way they like and also insulate the food in the box. All the research they did before the holidays helped them choose the best materials for their work.
For four weeks we welcomed a group of people from CYCA to come and complete resilience activities with everyone. They taught us different strategies on how to deal with difficult situations and how to overcome them.
One of the biggest likes (and dislikes) of the class activities was definitely making poo! Yes it is as horrible as it sounds! We were studying the digestive system in the body, so the best way to understand how it worked was to build the digestive system ourselves. We used plastic bags, plastic pipes, tights and paper cups to show the different parts. After chewing the food in the mouth (plastic bag) we were able to see how the food moved through the body before coming out into the toilet (paper cup). Look at the faces of some of the children when they see the contents of the paper cup! Ugh! But this definitely helped everyone remember how the digestive system works and the importance of eating healthy and drinking water.

Blwyddyn 6
Mae hi wedi bod yn hanner tymor olaf cyffrous i Flwyddyn 6. Fel rhan o’r thema, mae’r disgyblion wedi bod yn brysur yn adeiladu cartrefi eu hunain. Roedd rhaid cynllunio, creu a chyflwyno’r cartrefi i weddill y dosbarth.
Ar ddechrau’r hanner tymor, daeth yr heddlu i Flwyddyn 6 i drafod cyffuriau a hefyd sut i gyfathrebu ar-lein yn ddiogel ac yn gyfrifol. Daeth Bronwen Lewis allan i gynnal gweithdy gyda’r disgyblion. Roedd rhaid i bawb weithio mewn grwpiau i ysgrifennu geiriau newydd i ganeuon poblogaidd. Bu’r disgyblion yn brysur yn ysgrifennu am eu hardal leol ac wedyn yn ffodus i gael perfformio’r gan gyda Bronwen Lewis ar lwyfan yr ysgol.
Bu Blwyddyn 6 yn cwblhau cwrs lefel 1 a 2 beicio yn ystod yr hanner tymor. Roedd gofyn i’r disgyblion ddangos eu gallu i feicio ond hefyd dealltwriaeth o reolau allan ar y brif ffordd.
Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 6 wedi bod yn rhan bwysig o lansio’r Bocs Bwyd Blasus y flwyddyn hon. Maent wedi bod yn mynd i gynorthwyo Mrs Humble gyda marchnata, gwerthu a hefyd casglu a golchi llysiau ffres i’w gwerthu ar ddydd Llun, Mercher a Gwener. Gan fod amser Blwyddyn 6 yn ysgol Trimsaran bron a dod i ben, maent wedi bod yn mynychu diwrnodau pontio yn Ysgol y Strade ac Ysgol Glanymor gan gael cyfle i gwrdd â’i hathrawon newydd a’r disgyblion bydd ym mlwyddyn 7 gyda nhw yn mis Medi. Mae pawb hefyd wedi bod yn brysur yn paratoi ar gyfer y gyngerdd ymadawyr. Pob lwc i chi gyd ym Mlwyddyn 7!
It has been an exciting last half term for Year 6. As part of the theme, the pupils have been busy building their own homes. The homes had to be planned, created and presented to the rest of the class.
At the start of half term, the police came to Year 6 to discuss the dangers of substances and also how to communicate online safely and responsibly. Bronwen Lewis came out to hold a workshop with the pupils. Everyone had to work in groups to write new words to popular songs. The pupils wrote about their local area and then were lucky to be able to perform the song with Bronwen Lewis on the school stage.
Year 6 completed a level 1 and 2 cycling course during the half term. The pupils were required to show their ability to cycle but also an understanding of rules out on the main road.
The pupils have been an important part of launching the Bocs Bwyd Blasus this year. They have been assisting Mrs Humble with marketing, selling and also collecting and washing fresh vegetables to sell on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As Year 6 time at Trimsaran school is almost over, they have been attending transition days at Ysgol y Strade and Ysgol Glanymor, where they have had the opportunity to meet their new Teachers and make new friends in preperation for September. They have also been busy preparing for their leavers concert. Good luck to you all in Year 7!

Cyngor Eco Council
Diolch yn fawr i Jo a Kathryn o Dartmoor Tea Estate am ddod i weld y Cyngor Eco. Fe wnaethon ni ddysgu llawer am de, aroglom a blasom de gwyrdd. Dywedodd Jo ei fod yn bwysig iawn i slochian ein te gwyrdd wrth flasu, ond sicrhewch eich bod adref pan yr ydych yn gwneud hyn!!
Thank you to Jo and Kathryn from Dartmoor tea Estate for coming to see the Eco Council. We learnt a lot about tea, we smelt and tasted green tea. Jo shared that it is important to slurp green tea when tasting it, please don’t do this in public, just in the comfort of your own homes!!
Trip Ysgol/School Trip
Yn dilyn dechrau siomedig i'r wythnos, oherwydd y tywydd, fe ymwelon ni o'r diwedd â Pharc Gwledig Penbre ar Gorffennaf 19eg ar gyfer ein taith 'ysgol gyfan' flynyddol.
Roedd pawb wedi mwynhau chwarae ac adeiladu cestyll tywod ar y traeth ac ar ôl cinio cafodd y disgyblion hwyl yn chwarae gemau ar y cae.
Following a disappointing start to the week, due to the weather, we did finally visit Pembrey Country Park on 19th July for our annual 'whole school' trip.
Everyone enjoyed playing and building sand castles on the beach and after lunch pupils had fun playing games on the field.

We have been collecting evidence of the pupils' experiences in class portfolios. The books are updated every week by the teachers and pupils including pictures of activities, the children's voices about the activities, skills from the national curriculum, visits and experiences / day-to-day work.
