Overview

PrintedFragrance is a boutique fragrance concept that merges perfume with illustrated greeting cards, which aims to create a multi-sensory gifting experience.

Project Story

Concept & Inspiration

PrintedFragrance was inspired by the desire to merge two deeply emotional, sensory experiences: scent and visual storytelling.

Each fragrance is paired with illustrated greeting cards or prints that reflect the mood, ingredients, or story behind the scent.

This transforms perfume from just a luxury item into a complete gifting and self-care experience that can be both smelled and seen.

Naming & Branding

After exploring several options, the name PrintedFragrance was chosen for its clear reflection of the brand’s identity, which is where scent and print meet.

The logo uses a timeless serif typeface to evoke sophistication and storytelling, while the tagline “Lasting impressions, scented with care” captures the brand’s mission to create keepsakes that linger both emotionally and sensorially.

Design Process

The design process involved experimenting with logo sketches, exploring pastel color palettes, and creating packaging that complemented each fragrance’s story. With Figma and Canva, I designed perfume labels, boxes, cards, and promotional posters.

Each design element, from typography to illustration, was chosen to reflect the essence of the scents, such as the cozy warmth of Vanilla Espresso and the playful sweetness of Lychee Dream.

Business Plan Insight

The business plan identified a niche market at the intersection of fragrance, gifting, and visual art.

Market research showed that younger audiences, especially Gen Z, are increasingly engaged with fragrance as a form of self-expression and gifting. PrintedFragrance speaks to this cultural shift by offering a curated, multisensory experience that bridges perfume with personalized visual design.

Outcome & Reflection

This project received a perfect score (100%) and showcased my ability to combine branding, packaging, and storytelling into a cohesive multisensory experience.

By treating perfume as both a scent and a narrative medium, PrintedFragrance demonstrates how design innovation can turn everyday products into meaningful keepsakes.
