Seniors Gain Firsthand Experience With the Budget Process
Seniors in Mrs. Osowski's economics classes had the opportunity to learn more about the school budget process during a discussion with Superintendent Brian Collier and School Business Official Chad Walls. During the session, students asked questions about the proposed school budget and learned how budget decisions are made and presented to voters. The conversation provided valuable insight into the role community members play in supporting local schools through the voting process. For many students, the upcoming budget vote represents one of their first opportunities to participate in an election. The discussion helped students better understand the importance of being informed, asking questions, and taking an active role in civic life.
Experiences like this help connect classroom learning to real-world decision-making and encourage students to become engaged and informed members of their communities.
