- I hope everyone enjoyed the spectacular premiere of The Rhizome Experience last week. We had hundreds joining us to appreciate a groundbreaking, multidisciplinary art project organized by TAMIU Artist and Visiting Assistant Professor Crystal Wagner. This undertaking was truly innovative as it involved collaboration between faculty and students in the music, art, dance, and humanities and the community at large. A Big Thank You to all who participated in making this collaboration a reality.

- In light of widespread confusion over the launch of the U.S. Education Department’s new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), TAMIU is continuing to host a series of free FAFSA Drives to help students navigate the new application. More information is here.
- Internationally renowned performance group Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán will take the stage at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall. Tickets for the concert are available for purchase here.
- Aspiring educators are invited to attend the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) School Districts Career Fair on Wednesday, April 24, from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Student Center Rotunda. We encourage TAMIU students, alumni and the public to attend. Individuals can RSVP for the event at https://go.tamiu.edu/SchoolDistrictsFair.
- TAMIU will offer a two-day Boot Camp for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) trained and certified by the Office of the Attorney General through TAMIU’s Health and Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) continuation grant on Thursday and Friday, April 25 - 26, 2024. - TAMIU's Office of Continuing Education will present the Texas Certified Public Manager® Program (CPM) to the public in the Fall 2024. Registration opens in July 2024 with the first class scheduled Saturday, September 21, 2024. More information is here.

Release the Quacken! Duck-Themed Celebration at TAMIU Slated for April 18
There’s no ducking the numbers… we made history this Spring 2024 with a historic enrollment – the largest EVER in the history of Texas A&M International University. Join us on Thursday, April 18 at 11:30 a.m. as we fill our Acequia Fountain with hundreds of TAMIU-branded, yellow rubber duckies.
The Rhizome Experience Unveiling Offers Evening of Art
The Rhizome Experience, a multidisciplinary contemporary art project organized by Artist and Visiting Assistant Professor Crystal Wagner was unveiled Friday, April 12. The project involved a collaboration between faculty and students in the music, art, dance, theater, and humanities and the community at large.
TAMIU Extends Priority Deadline, Continues 'FAFSA for U' Sessions
TAMIU has extended its Priority Deadline to April 15, 2024, and is continuing to host a series of free FAFSA Drives to help students navigate the new application.

TAMIU CFPA Events Happening this April
This April, several live music and dance performances are currently scheduled at TAMIU's Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. All events are free and open to the public. Donations are gladly accepted at the door to support scholarships for Fine and Performing Arts students.

TAMIU School Districts Career Fair Scheduled for April 24
Aspiring educators are invited to attend the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) School Districts Career Fair on Wednesday, April 24, from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Student Center Rotunda.
TAMIU students, alumni and the public are encouraged to attend.
TAMIU Athletics Update
TAMIU is a member of the Lone Star Conference and competes in 11 sports: volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, softball, baseball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's golf.
