I have created a realistic apple. While I was painting this apple I learned that shading can make the apple look 3D and make it look more realistic with the details and color tone with an apple having a white part to make it look like the light is shining on the apple. My goal for this project was to make the apple as realistic as possible with the details and change of colors. I feel very proud of myself because I made it possible for the apple to look a bit realistic with the color tone and the shiny part of the apple. I hope the audience sees that the apple is a bit realistic and shows how much work and dedication I have put on the apple to make it look more realistic.
I have created a farmer collecting apples that have fallen on the ground. I have learned that giving background more details can help the apple to blend in. My goal was to give detail to the background making the apple fit in. I feel very happy with this artwork because of how it turned out to be when the hand was going to be a hard part giving shadows with a bit of a light pattern and the grass having to blend in with the soil including the sky with a cloud. I hope the audience gets to see the immense detail for the background for it to fit in with the apple.
I have created a swan reflection from the water. I have learned that giving how much closer the pattern is to each other can determine how dark or light the pattern can look. My goal for this project was to see how the outlining with the pattern of dark and light can shape the swan and see how the color tone matches. I feel like I did very well on this project because the color tone is determining which one is being shown by the light and which one is the shadow. I hope my audience can get the pattern because the lighter color tone is more far apart and the darker color tone’s pattern is closer to each other.
I have created a coral reef with fishes, hermit crab, jellyfish, corals, and the whale shark. I have learned that I start off light with the watercolor and gradually add more layers to the color to a certain area to make it darker for it to look more detailed. My goal was to learn how to make the coral reef more appealing while it is a watercolor painting giving more details. I feel proud with this project because my goal was to also make the whale shark and the creatures to have details to make it have shadows and the light. I hope the audience sees the detail for the whale shark and other features of shadowing and lighting to the corals.
