Council Meeting

The next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Civic Center Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue. Members of the public can attend the meeting in person or watch the livestream of the meeting online by CLICKING HERE and on Youtube at ConnectwithTC.

Youth Committee

Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Join us for the Area 8 Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Live Oak Park Community Center, 10144 Bogue St. This is an opportunity for residents to connect with local law enforcement and our Public Safety team to discuss area-specific crime trends and prevention strategies. Enjoy a free dinner while you engage in this important conversation about community safety.

Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) Program

The Temple City LEAD Program is recruiting new members for the 2025-26 school year. Join today and discover new opportunities for students to earn volunteer hours, develop leadership skills, and learn about educational and future career opportunities. The LEAD program facilitates opportunities for middle school and high school students ages 12–17 years old to earn volunteer service-learning hours, develop confidence in leadership skills through a mentorship program, and learn about educational and future career opportunities. In addition to accruing community service hours needed for school, participants will develop a variety of leadership skills aimed at creating positive impacts in the Temple City community.

Youth Volleyball League

It’s Volleyball time! The co-ed volleyball league will provide girls and boys in grades 5th-8th an opportunity to learn a variety of skills and compete in games and playoffs in a fun environment. Led by recreation staff, this program is designed to introduce players of all levels to the sport of volleyball. Players will experience working as a team, practicing discipline, building the proper fundamentals of the sport, and competing in games and playoffs. Some players will also be selected to participate in an all-star team that will compete in the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF) Volleyball tournament in November. The first week of the program will consist of general training and evaluation, followed by coaches drafting players into specific teams. Fee includes a team jersey and a trophy/medal.

Sports Blitz

Sports time = a fun time! Explore an exciting variety of sports in this engaging program led by Recreation staff. This 8-week program, held on Mondays & Wednesdays from September 8 to October 29, is designed for children ages 3.5 - 5 and 6–7. Participants will explore the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, and flag football, while building skills and learning the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

New Grant Program: Free Awnings & Blade Signs for Downtown Businesses

The City of Temple City is offering a limited-time grant to help downtown businesses improve their storefronts for free.

If your business is located in the Downtown along Las Tunas Drive or Temple City Boulevard, you may qualify for a free awning and, or blade sign. These improvements will help your business look better, attract more customers, and support the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Temple City.
