Lightworker Mentorship Retreat
In November of 2025, Avalon Spirit hosted a retreat for those students who had participated in various classes sponsored by Avalon Spirit and taught by Ginette Biro. It was held in Vancouver Canada at Loon Lake Wilderness Lodge which was a wonderful venue for such an event. See my photo collection below,

About
I started my photography hobby in 1980 when I received a Canon AV-1 as a graduation present from college. I was never really good at film photography because it was difficult, expensive, and time consuming to master the art of exposure and shutter speed. In the '80s I was also a pilot and loved taking pictures of aircraft and air shows which comprised the bulk of my work. Taking great shots of aircraft is really not that hard - just use a long lens, fast shutter speed, focus at infinity and you have a good chance of a nice shot.
In later years, photography as a hobby took a backseat to many other interests - career, family, and other hobbies. But it was always there waiting for my return.
When digital cameras arrived on the scene it opened up whole new possibilities - you could fire off hundreds of pictures and have a good chance of getting a keeper. And computer tools began to emerge that allowed for even more creativity (or ability to save a marginal shot). Kind of a lazy way to take good pictures but it worked and kept me interested. In 2019 I was guided to up my game and I purchased Canon's first mirrorless camera, the EOS R. This is when I finally got serious about this hobby.
In Jan 2021 I had a spiritual re-awakening that set me on a whole new path in life. It was also a time when my photography was getting good enough that I needed to focus my work and really concentrate on developing my own style and interests.
Today I enjoy shooting landscapes and animals including Golden Retrievers as a volunteer photographer for the Southern Arizona Golden Retriever Rescue. I also like to share my photographs that have personal, spiritual meaning.
So whats next?
I have begun writing about my spiritual journey in my Blog and have noticed a strong linkage with my photography; I like to call my work Spiritual Photography. I am not sure where this is going, but I am certain that spirit will help guide me to be of service to others through this work.

I have begun to write about my spiritual journey in the hopes that by sharing my story I can help people make sense of their own experiences. I believe that this is my purpose: to help others through these unusual times and to help them understand who they really are - a spiritual being going through an earthly experience.
