This is a postcard to Munich, Germany. When making this, I learned how to make pictures take the shape of letters and how to use filters. My goal was to make this look like a traditional postcard from the early 1900's. I feel like it turned out very well, the colors go very well together and it overall feels like an old postcard. I wanted people to feel like they are looking at a traditional postcard when they look at it.
This is a collage project meant to symbolize the uniqueness of Earth. Making this I learned how to combine many different images using lighting and adjustments to make it feel like one piece. My goal was to use very unique color tones and adjustments to emphasize the Earth and make it unique. I feel like it turned out well, being very unique in terms of colors and objects used. I wanted viewers to feel like it emphasizes the importance and uniqueness of the Earth.
This is a mockup of the cover, spine, and back of the book “Hellenica” by Zenophon. The whole piece uses only one type of media. Making this I learned how to cut pieces of media and turn them into the shapes or figures that I wanted. My goal was to emphasize the metal foil to match the grit of the contents of the book. I wanted viewers to see many layers of foil representing layers of time passing and the emphasis on the spartan helmet in the middle, underneath all the layers.
This is a movie poster for a made-up movie, “When the Blood Moon Rises”. Making this I learned how to break images down into a color theme. My goal was to make it look like an old movie poster you would see for an old horror movie. I feel like the color theme emphasizes a horror aspect and it turned out well. I wanted viewers to see similarities to posters for “Friday the 13th” or “A Nightmare on Elm Street”.
