Ardea Youth Climate Coalition organizes downtown march to end fossil fuel use By Dimitri Agdanowski

On Sept. 20, protesters gathered in downtown Kalamazoo to encourage ending the use of fossil fuels. The group, organized by the youth organization the Ardea Youth Climate Coalition, gathered in front of city hall where speakers exchanged ideas on combating climate change. When speakers finished presenting, the group marched through the Kalamazoo Mall and then dispersed.

Protests move through downtown, chanting to end fossil fuel use. "There is no planet B," read two signs, one of which is held by Norrix senior Georgia Edmonds.

The protesters hold up signs as they march downtown. Some signs are serious while others use humorous comics to point out the use of fossil fuels.

Protesters make and display signs that relate to key environmental issues. Fossil fuels, the topic of this sign, was one of the key issues that was discussed.
