Waking up next to $50 of Taco Bell, with your hair in one big knot and last night's makeup smeared across your face probably isn't your ideal Sunday morning. It certainly isn't mine, but as someone who once called her ex-boyfriend, and I am using the word 'boyfriend' extremely liberally, 19 times in one night, I consider myself a bit of an expert on the Sunday scaries, and more importantly, curing them. Whether you loudly mistook a man's friend at the bar for his mother, threw up in the middle of your hometown bar on Christmas night or just had one too many dirty martinis on a girl's night out, this guide will get you back on your feet. Take it from a girl who has done all of the above and lived to tell the tale.
The Robe
In my experience, the perfect self-care day begins with the perfect robe. I love the brand, SlowTides, which offers eco-friendly bath robes without sacrificing luxury, comfort or style.
The Scent
A signature scent is crucial. This should be a scent that calms and soothes you which you can incorporate throughout the day. I love sandalwood because it makes me feel luxurious and clean, combatting the feelings of stress and dread I feel over facing the consequences of my actions from the night before. This scent will be incorporated throughout the routine. Once you find the scent you love light a candle or diffuse an essential oil that features your scent. Osmology by Aery offers several eco-friendly candles in scents including their Heavily Meditated Gift Set of 3 pure soy candles.
The Entertainment
Before you indulge in your relaxing shower or bath, you will need something to occupy your mind and distract you from wallowing in your actions from the night before. I recommend choosing a movie or television show with characters whose lives are even messier than yours. Here is what to watch based on your preferred streaming service.

The Shower
Once you have selected your scent and the perfect form of entertainment, it finally time for the allusive 'everything shower.' For this shower, I recommend choosing a shampoo, conditioner and body wash that feature your chosen scent for optimal Sunday scary curing results.
Hair Care:
I use Suds&Eco's shampoo and conditioner bars in the scent 'blossom' which has notes of fresh-cut sandalwood, plumeria flower and citrus.
Skin Care:
Salt and Stone offers sets that feature their eco-friendly body wash, deodorant and body mist. I use the Santal & Vetiver scent, which features sandalwood.
