Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 9th JANUARY 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to everyone after the Christmas break. I hope you all had an enjoyable and restful time with family and friends. The first week of the new term has certainly been an eventful one, with notification of an Estyn Inspection taking place between 19th and 21st January, some unexpected heating issues affecting four of our classes, and the ever-present uncertainty of the winter weather! I would like to thank parents and carers sincerely for your patience, understanding and continued support during what has been an interesting start to term.   I just wanted to remind everyone that the Estyn Parent and Carer Questionnaire has been sent out on SeeSaw and should be completed by 11th January. Parents and carers are also warmly invited to attend a meeting with Estyn at 2.30pm on Monday 19th January in the school hall on the Ffordd Derwen site. Thank you, as always, for your support as we move forward together.   Wishing you all a restful weekend.

Kind regards,

Susan H. Roberts

Headteacher
