Previous Week Recap from Mrs. Cormier
It goes without saying that this has been a very difficult week for many in our Sanderlin community and beyond. What I do need to say is that I am truly grateful and amazed at the outpouring of support and donations for our impacted families and staff. This is going to be a long road for our entire community but I do know that there are many people here to support this road to recovery and many resources I am so grateful that we are receiving. A huge thank you to the families that donated to our supply drive and to Sol Relief for their ongoing help and support. Please make sure you see the information below on various Hurricane Relief drives around Pinellas County this weekend and the link to provide donations to Sol Relief. As a reminder, Sol Relief is prioritizing their support to our Sanderlin Family first and we want to focus our giving campaign to them. As another reminder, Sanderlin is not taking any more supplies, food or clothing. We have been dispersing these items to families. We are asking for gift cards. If any families can donate gift cards for food, gas, etc., we are taking them for our families in need.
The support this week has been amazing and I think it has been awesome for us to have our kiddos back at school and to see their smiling faces. I know many of us will be busy this weekend continuing our efforts to support our community and/or clean up our own living spaces. Please ensure that you are also taking the time to care for self-care and daily check ins. And please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need support.
