Principal Message
Dear Families, It is hard to believe that we are already in the middle of April—the year is certainly flying by! With the recent mix of rain and snow, our school yard can be quite wet and muddy. We kindly ask that you ensure your child is coming to school with appropriate footwear for the conditions. This will help keep them comfortable and ready to enjoy outdoor time. We are hopeful that warmer, drier weather is just around the corner and look forward to spending more time outside as a school community. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Oilers Watch Party this past Saturday. It is always wonderful to come together and celebrate as a community. A special thank you goes out to the planning committee and all of the volunteers who helped make the event such a success—we truly appreciate your time and dedication. Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead. Mrs. Carr-Jeschke & Mrs.McNamee

Office Update
Mrs. Lee will be away from the school for the next few weeks. During her absence, we are very fortunate to have Ms. Anique supporting the school and working in the office. If your child will be absent, late, or needs to be picked up early, please email Ms. Anique at Santou.Kinouani@ecsd.net, and be sure to also notify your child’s teacher. We welcome Ms. Anique to the St. Paul school community, and look forward to welcoming Mrs. Lee back in the coming weeks.
Extracurricular Activities Message- ECSD
Many of the experiences students enjoy at school beyond regular classroom learning are made possible because teachers, staff, and community members generously give their time. This may include helping with lunchtime activities, special events, clubs, or school teams, often before or after the school day. These activities are not part of regular instructional time, but they play an important role in helping students build confidence, learn to work with others, and feel connected to their school community. Our school and Edmonton Catholic Schools are grateful to the teachers, staff, and community members who volunteer their time in these ways. By working together, we can show respect and appreciation for those who support students outside of regular work hours and help make school a welcoming place for all.

School Council Corner
Please see the following communication from your SAC Executive: Thank you to all who attended the Oilers Watch Party Fundraiser on Saturday, April 11. Amazing news! We fundraised $5,890 for our school. The success of this event could not be achieved without the incredible support and contributions from our school community. A huge thank you to our event Committee Jenelle Gartner, Simon Kursa and Cassandra Dominelli. Along with the many volunteers who supported the setup and day of support to make this all possible. This event would also not have been possible without the incredible generosity and support of our school community through their donations. Corporate Event Sponsors:
- Sentag Modular - Photobooth
- Knotty Pine Cabins - Concession and Hunter Appearance
- Edgemont Dental - Decor
- J. Gartner Studio - Printing
- Special Event Rentals - Popcorn
Raffle, Auction and Food Sponsors: Simon Kursa, Omni Homes, MNP, Baiju, Strathcona Excavating, Kershaw Family, Kirby Family, Samatha King Realty, Code Ninja (Crestwood), The Canadian Brewhouse, Lingnan Restaurant, Sehn Family, Dairy Queen, Safeway, Perri Family, Fitset Ninja, MAP, Healthy Hunger, Nakatsui Dermasurgery, Mortgage Architects, Great Dane Lawn Solutions, Baltyk Bakery. Why We Fundraise: The Oilers Watch Party is one example of our school fundraisers efforts. Each year Parent Council / Parent Advisory reviews and approves annual funding requests during the AGM in the fall. Funding requests cover expenses that fall outside the school instructional budget. These value‑added experiences enhance learning, wellness, and community. Some examples include:
- Artist-in-residence
- Music enhancements
- Academic enrichment (additional products/technologies to support student learning)
- Physical activity enhancements (sports clinics and equipment upgrades)
- Field trip supports (subsidized admission and bussing)
- Learning environment enhancements (library upgrades, chrome books, outdoor classroom maintenance, living wall/aquarium, art supplies)
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school community. We truly couldn’t do this without you. Your St Paul Parent Council / Advisory Council
Run Wild MaraFUN
A reminder that registrations for the Run Wild Marafun (St. Albert) close Friday, April 24. If you have been considering registering your child, please ensure that you select our school team so that their race package will be delivered to the school. Indoor training has already started, and we are hoping to shift to outside training next week.
Staff Parking Lot
A reminder that the staff parking lot is not to be used for student pick ups or drop offs. There are staff vehicles, as well as Division vehicles coming in and out of the lot, making it very unsafe for students. Please choose safety or convenience and drop students off in designated drop off areas: 96 Ave in front of the school or 145 Street to the west of the school. Thank you for your support with this!
