Ysgol Sychdyn Newsletter ~ 12th December 2025

A MASSIVE well done to all the children for taking part in their Christmas Concerts.

You were all amazing!

Wednesday 17th

House Christmas Parties

Alwen, Brenig and Tegid have been earning 'blue tokens' this year by being READY, RESPECTFUL & SAFE and by going over and above, working hard and displaying a Growth Mindset.
Our wonderfully supportive PTA have agreed to turn each token into money, so every token earned will earn extra cash for the Houses to spend on planning their own Christmas Parties!
On Wednesday children are invited to come dressed in their house colours and celebrate all of their hard work! If children would prefer to wear their school uniform they can of course do that.

Remember, if you want to be part of the school PTA, please do get in touch with school via symail@hwbcyrmu.net or by letting your class teacher know. Diolch. All support and fresh ideas are always welcome.

PTA Christmas Film Night - Tuesday 16th December

Our wonderful PTA will be hosting a Christmas Film Night on Tuesday 16th December, from 4:00–6:00pm. We’ll be watching the festive favourite Elf! If you’ve returned your slip and payment, your child will be sent home a ticket. We can’t wait to get into the Christmas spirit together!

Christmas Carol Service

What a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season! Our amazing children led a beautiful Christmas Carol Service, filling the church with joy, laughter, and song. The congregation joined in with plenty of festive fun and even enjoyed a little bit of chocolate too! A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support, to our talented children for leading the service so confidently and to Cambria Band for their fantastic playing as we entered the church. We’re also very grateful to Northop Church for welcoming us so warmly.

Diolch James for your latest donation. Our 2 new twinkly trees are a great addition to the school entrance.

EXTRA CURRICULAR CLUBS

There will be no after-school clubs next week.

After-school clubs, including football with Champion Sports UK, will restart in 2026.

Heartfelt thanks to all the staff who give up their free time to support extra-curricular clubs; your kindness and goodwill is greatly appreciated.
