NIL Information

Per state law, each Texas collegiate student-athlete in their first year of college must complete 5 hours of NIL education in the calendar year centered on financial aid, debt management, time management, budgeting, and academic resources available to the student athlete.

  • Follow all State and Federal Laws.
  • Per Texas State Law: All NIL transactions/contracts/agreements need to be reported in INFLCR, go to Exchange button at the bottom of the main screen and enter in all NLI information.
  • Every time a payment is made to you, it needs to be disclosed.
  • International Student-Athletes should check with Office of International Programs before entering into/ accepting payment for NIL activities due to federal laws that prohibit most NIL activities.
  • Marketing and creative UTEP Athletics Interns are not permitted to help with NIL content, exposure or anything else to do with NIL.
  • No UTEP Coaches and/or athletics staff may be involved in organizing NIL opportunities for you.
  • No identifying UTEP marks, logos or colors for content. You can wear UTEP colors if there are no logos or marks.
  • No UTEP Athletic facility can be used for photoshoot/ filming for any NIL contract.
  • You can enter into an agreement with an agent or advisor to represent your personal/ marketing brand and NIL activities (not your athletic abilities)

Influncr App

  • All pictures taken will be loaded into INFLCR. (Games, media day, special events, practice, etc.,)
  • Registration and login: You will receive an email and text message invitation if you are new. Sign up making sure to use your @miner.utep.edu email.
