We've had three new swings delivered and put up in our outdoor space. They are very popular and are great for us to practice turn-taking!
We went on a different route in Chopwell Woods this week and came across some wood carvings. We also spotted a deer in a nearby field! Afterwards we headed back to the meadow for a biscuit. Mr Rundle continued the swinging theme - by child number three he was a little dizzy!
Our walk around Gibside this week took us past the small chapel so we stopped to have a look inside. Afterwards we headed along the path (jumping in a few puddles along the way!) to the park.
Back in school we've been sharing the story 'Dear Zoo' during our box times. The children all love lifting the flaps on the book and matching the animals. We repeat the activity several times over a couple of weeks which helps us to remember the animal names and repeat familiar phrases from the book.
