988 Poster

For my 988 poster, I decided I wanted to incorporate bright colors in my piece to display an enlightening poster. My goal was to convey a theme that showed how 988 can support people who might need advice or help and that they are there for them. The pictures I included in the piece show how a person might not feel good but the hands show that 988 is there to care for them. I felt good about it since I was able to use different elements and make it unique. I hope my audience sees the message of 988 and a sense of cheerfulness.

Vivid Jungle

For my Mike Karolos piece, I wanted to make a piece that had an outside scenery so I could use various colors and elements. I decided to make a piece that has a treehouse with palm trees surrounding it which resembles a jungle. The designs on the house, background, and trees add definition to it. I feel great about it because I was able to do what I originally thought of and incorporate different designs for variety. I hope my audience sees the various parts and details of my piece that make it come together.

Selena Gomez

For the Shepard Fairey poster, I wanted to choose a person who is influential and has accomplished a lot. I decided to choose Selena Gomez because she has had various acting roles and projects she led. I felt really good about it because it was my first time using Photoshop to prepare images to then collage onto paper. I thought about what icons, pictures, and designs I wanted to use to resemble the Shepard Fairey style while also making it special. I felt good about it because I was able to make some pieces of paper have the tear effect and collage them together. I hope my audience sees the important influence Selena Gomez has on people and her accomplishments.

Candy Escape

For my game piece, I wanted to make a piece that was related to Candyland since I loved playing it when I was younger. I wanted it to have an enlightening feel and have elements that represented Candyland. I drew parts of the piece that the players could go through to reach the candy house at the end. I felt really good about it because some of the colors are pastel which give it a calm and soft look. The pieces on the poster also look like they are moving throughout the path which makes it seem as if it is moving. I hope my audience gets the idea that it is a fun board game to play and similar to Candyland.
