Pickleball enthusiasts in Temple City have a reason to rejoice as the brand-new pickleball courts are now open to the public. Located at Live Oak Park, 10144 Bogue St., this recreational amenity promises to be a hub of activity for players of all ages and skill levels. The opening of four (4) pickleball courts marks a significant milestone for the local community, providing a designated area for players to gather, compete, and socialize. This is the culmination of a group of dedicated Temple City pickleball players, the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council efforts. We invite the pickleball community, both seasoned and new, to enjoy the latest park infrastructure improvement in Temple City!

Temple City Park Playground Renovation Project

The playground renovation project has begun at Temple City Park. The project will encompass a brand new playground, landscape buffer and refresh of the picnic shelter. The playground Bamboo Forest theme was selected as a complimentary design specifically for Temple City Park, to blend with the existing structures and evoke feelings of calm and nature. In addition to the playground area, a landscape buffer is included in the design to provide a visual and physical separation to the north parking lot.

The main playground structure incorporates a net climber, slide, spinner and overhead climber. Swings and sensory panels are included in the project with a custom designed safety surfacing complementing the theme. Included in the renovation project for Temple City Park is a refresh of the playground adjacent picnic shelter. The picnic shelter refresh includes “Thunder Brown” support posts, “Mountain Forest” shade covering and updated LED lighting. The color selection for the picnic shelter is meant to compliment the nature inspired playground as well as the natural park environment.
