Welcome to our site!

Thanks for taking a moment to visit. If we haven't met you before, our names are Clay and Emily Selway. Between the two of us, we have the privilege of working on staff with Cru in SE Ohio and Creative One Media, which is Cru's national videography, photography, and graphic design team. We hope that this short presentation gives you a taste of our respective ministries and demonstrates how passionate we are about reaching students on the college campus with the hope of Jesus Christ.

Cru in SE Ohio is primarily focused on the Ohio University campus in Athens. We also seek to invest in the lives of students at Marietta College as well as Ohio University branch campuses in Lancaster and Zanesville.

During our time as students at Ohio University, we both became involved in the ministry of Cru on campus. We found that as we said yes to following Jesus, the Lord began to change each of our lives dramatically. After graduating (Clay in 2012 and Emily in 2013), God put a desire on our hearts for students coming after us to have their lives changed the way that ours were. It's this desire to see students truly know Jesus and become his disciples that has led us to work with the ministry of Cru. We've each worked full-time with the ministry since 2014 and continue to feel God's call in our life to serve on the college campus.

God used the ministry of Cru to change our lives. Every year, we're seeing large groups of students experience this change for themselves!

The ultimate goal of our ministry is simply to help lost students know Jesus and to train them to become Christ-centered, multiplying disciples. We embrace a three fold strategy in order to make this a reality.

Win students to Christ through active outreach and evangelism.
Build them up in their faith through one-on-one training and life-changing community.
Send them to the world as life-long laborers who will win and build up others.

Through various evangelistic initiatives throughout the year, we seek to give every student on campus an opportunity to hear the gospel and entrust their lives to Jesus.

Throughout the year, students have their trust in Jesus strengthened through faith-centered community, Bible studies, conferences, retreats, one-on-one discipleship, and evangelism training.

We are sending students from the college campus with more than a degree. They are leaving SE Ohio with the ability to faithfully walk with the Lord for a lifetime and are equipped to help others do the same.

Emily has a role that involves splitting her time between the campus ministry and a remote position with Creative One Media, Cru's design/photography/videography team. She creates materials to promote Cru's conferences and retreats, records video footage used at conferences, and helps produce video and printed content used for evangelistic outreaches. Below is a short video she helped develop that is being used nationally by the campus ministry!

We are able to do this ministry work through a generous team of ministry partners. Our ministry partners provide prayers for our ministry, the funds needed to work in vocational ministry full time, and the connections to others who would be encouraged to hear about the work God is doing at OU and in SE Ohio.
