2nd Graders Bring Animal Habitats to Life

Students Share Their Knowledge of Animal Habitats

Second grade students completed a hands-on project focused on animal habitats, combining research, creativity, and presentation skills.

After learning about different habitats and the animals that live within them, students created detailed shoebox dioramas showcasing a variety of environments. The projects were completed at home with support from families and reflected the knowledge students gained through their classroom studies.

Following Morning Program, families were invited to visit the second grade classroom for a special habitat showcase. Students proudly wore nametags identifying themselves as "Habitat Experts" and shared information about their projects with visitors. They explained the habitats they researched, answered questions, and demonstrated their understanding of the animals and ecosystems featured in their displays.

The showcase provided students with an opportunity to practice public speaking, share their learning, and celebrate their hard work with family members and classmates.
