Traffic Flow Update - THANK YOU parents for working with us this past week on our new traffic flow! You have been amazing partners in this transition. I know change is hard and confusing, but I hope this new process will keep students safe and traffic moving smoothly. I would like to remind everyone to pull up to the cone near the paper recycle bin for morning drop-off. Please do not stop at the flagpole. Pulling up to the cone will allow more cars into the lane at one time. We are working on better signage for drop-off to make things more clear. Last, students must use the crosswalks, and we are reminding them daily. ¡GRACIAS padres por trabajar con nosotros esta semana pasada en nuestro nuevo flujo de tráfico! Ustedes han sido compañeros increíbles en esta transición. Sé que el cambio es difícil y confuso, pero espero que este nuevo proceso mantenga a los estudiantes seguros y el tráfico se mueva sin problemas. Advanced Theatre to Theatre Arlington
Our advanced theatre students visited Theatre Arlington this week! They were able to see a show and talk with the actors. Our Wildcats asked great questions and had a remarkable experience. Thank you Ms. Reed and Ms. Moreno for creating opportunities for our students to learn outside of the classroom!

Dress Code Policy
Students will be given disposable scrubs to wear when they are out of dress code. The disposable scrubs need to be returned upon leaving the building. Metal Detectors
All Secondary AISD students (grades 7th-12th) will proceed through metal detectors every day. To help our process run efficiently, students need to remove most items containing metal from their backpacks as they will set off the metal detector--binders, umbrellas, metal cases, and metal water bottles. Students will hand these items to the staff member standing at the metal detector. Once they walk through, the staff member will return their items. Tables are available for students to return items to their backpack. Small items such as jewelry, keys, and phones do not need to be removed because they should not set off the detectors. Those students carrying an instrument will open the instrument case for inspection. Finally, students participating in early morning athletics will follow a similar procedure prior to practice. Todos los estudiantes de secundaria de AISD (grados 7º a 12º) pasarán por los detectores de metales todos los días. Para ayudar a que nuestro proceso funcione eficientemente, los estudiantes necesitan remover la mayoría de los artículos que contengan metal de sus mochilas ya que activarán el detector de metales - carpetas, paraguas, estuches de metal y botellas de agua de metal. Transportation
All buses now use route numbers instead of bus numbers. Please ensure your child memorizes the route number as bus numbers can change, but bus route numbers never change. All buses drop-off and pick-up on the north side of campus. If you have questions about bus routes, signing up for transportation, or would like to sign up for bus updates, please use this link to the AISD transportation webpage.
