Illuminating the Dark

The creation of the design night sky was created to illustrate floating lanterns illuminating the night sky along with the stars. Throughout this project I have obtained knowledge on how to create a clipping mask and how to create an art brush. This has helped me project a more detailed image with greater contrasts. My reason for choosing to create a night sky design is to create a sense of hope for others as the lanterns and stars are the light that outshines the darkness surrounding them. This design can potentially be appreciated by more than one age group and can hold various meanings for different people.

Happiness in Simplicity

The shoe design includes different shades of blue and a pattern of smiley faces to demonstrate the simplicity of the design. This resembles the meaning of being able to find joy in simple things life supplies us with. Through this process I have learned how to successfully alter the shape of items to help smooth the appearance of shapes within the design. The simple details and color choice were created not only to symbolize simple elements of life but also to view the contrast of sadness and joy and what you chose your mindset to reflect. This design was mostly created to attract teenagers but could also attract many other age ranges.

Winter Peak

This logo illustrating a cold winter contains snowflakes falling from the sky and shows complementary shades of blue to match the theme of a winter day. In this process I have obtained knowledge on how to create contrast between the shapes of the letters to the actual design. This helps obtain people's attention and create a sense of curiosity of what items the store might sell. Although the logo’s theme is winter shadows of other colors other than blue could have improved the piece. This design is targeted mostly to teenagers and adults as kids would be more attracted to colorful themes.

Beach breeze

The messy mod design illustrating the beach contains the sun setting over the calm waves of the beach and birds flying around the ocean admiring it. This creates a calm and joyful mood being able to picture yourself in a place with these beautiful characteristics. Through this process I have learned the importance of the placement and alignment of the shapes and items. This could help your overall design to blend in better and concentrate on the theme. The beachy design can be attracted by many age ranges including kids, teenagers, and adults.
