Today we investigated Autumn leaves. We looked for different coloured leaves and the insects living on them. Then we had a competition to see who could thread the most leaves onto a stick. We took some leaves inside and made an observational drawing showing all the colours and patterns we could see.
Year 1 and 2 worked in pairs to make number bonds up to 20 using pine cones and stones. Reception practices their number recognition by playing number games with the numbered wood slices.
