There are 3.4 billion unreached people in the world according to Christian researchers at Joshua Project.
Cru exists to offer every lost student in the world the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel and to show them how to become courageous and faithful followers of Christ.
The goal is Christ known and worshiped around the world.
The task is to develop thriving missionaries who can serve unhindered wherever God calls them.
The work I do is to serve so that international missionaries can flourish in ministry.
In the day to day, that can look like:
- Coaching and care for laborers on the field so that they feel known, valued, and resourced.
- Guiding people through the process of application, placement, fund development, training and sending (total: 1-2 year process).
- Solving issues with benefits, payroll, taxes, visas and other administrative details.
- Debriefing laborers when they come off the field for furlough or crisis.
- Helping to facilitate several annual training conferences and serve as a coach and mentor during them.
- Supporting and Resourcing laborers during times of struggle as teams or families.
- Educating myself and offering mental, physical and spiritual health resources and support.
Many times this happens virtually, but on the best days I get to be in person with the laborers I serve.
Overseas ministry is a stressful and often difficult endeavor. Having faced the daily grind of ministry far from home and familiarity, it is my honor to serve
'How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” ~ Romans 10:14-15
As healthy teams are living out their calling to tell others about Jesus in different areas of the world, lives are being eternally impacted, and I'm so grateful to have a part in what God is doing.
As college students ourselves, we were captured by God's heart for the lost. His desire to use us to reach the world with the Great Commission has and continues to spur our ministry.
For our first 16 years on staff with Cru we worked on college campuses in the US and the Middle East. The years of daily evangelism and discipleship, the teams I learned to work alongside, the need for dependence on the Lord for every step have uniquely equipped me for this role. That experience impacts the many ways in which I seek to care well for His laborers.
Will you join me in God's work to make His name known among the nations? It would be an honor for you to consider partnering with me.
