Visual Arts - Mrs. Lee

6th Grade started this month talking about graphic art and designed food trucks. From there, we learned about the importance of craftsmanship and have been working on radial designs made from a word. We are now working on abstract watercolor books.

7th Grade started this month started this month talking about graphic art and designed food trucks. We are now learning about surreal art and creating our own dream worlds.

8th Grade started this month talking about graphic art and designed food trucks. They are now working on technical drawing and creating a texture sphere focusing on shading.

Spanish - Ms. Dill

The 6th grade has been reading a book in Spanish about a Capibara that lives in the jungle of Ecuador.

The 7th grade class has been reading a story in Spanish about a Llama and her friends that go on an adventure in the big city of Lima, Peru.

The 8th graders have been practicing asking and responding to 20 questions in Spanish.

Computers - Mr. Jarvis

The 6th grade most recently is working on some basic Google Doc skills. We will soon be working on email and other computer related skills.

Our 7th grade Careers is currently working on career research in each of the 16 career clusters. The goal is to expose them to a few careers that they maybe didn't know existed.

Our 8th grade Computer Apps class just spent time working on Google Sheets. We are learning to work through basic formulas and some early function work to help with calculations in Google Sheets.

Drama - Ms. Johnson

Sixth grade students completed their first project with a group reading of poems. Seventh grade students presented oral interpretations.

It has been a great experience getting to know the students and watch them showcase some talents.

MTSS Math - Ms. Johnson

MTSS Math students are continuing their work on fluency of math facts and building their skills through the use of SuccessMaker. We complete progress monitoring on alternating weeks and many students have improved their scores each time.

Student Success - Mrs. Babcock

Student Success- This week we will be working on organization, goals, and future plans. We will be doing activities surrounding these topics. We will have grade checks every Wednesday and Friday along with missing work checks.
