AS A SENIOR MUSICIAN with simon balle music......

We expect the world from you.

The more you put in, the more you will get out.

Being a senior musician comes with responsibility:

To commit

To embrace our ethos

To take advice, all the time

To not take anything for granted.

We expect you to practice so that you make progress each week. You should take advantage of Early Morning Practice. Practice means at least 45 minutes 5 times per week.

You need to be ready for all lessons, fully prepared and take a mature approach to learning. We should not be chasing you for anything.

You should use your initiative.

You should take advantage of every opportunity available.

You should create your own opportunities.

You should be creative at every opportunity.

If you are an A level Music student you will work on areas that are hard, complete additional listening and ensure you are always up to date.

You will review each lesson afterwards so that you develop a deep understanding of the topics.

If you miss a lesson, you will use your initiative and catch up, so that you are fully ready for the next lesson.

You will be expected to perform as much as possible.

To achieve this, you will be listening, recording yourself and going to live performances.

Be prepared to find the edge of your comfort zone and push beyond it.

We will give you incredible support and opportunities.

You will have 1 : 1 mentoring and a review twice per year.

Our senior enrichment programme will give you opportunities such as in Jazz and songwriting. Enrichment is where you take it.

Individual accompanist sessions will be available if you need them.

We will fully support those who are applying for a Conservatoire or Music College.

Simon Balle Music is incredible, if you are fully part of it.

Opportunities are earned.

It is up to you!
