On Friday, January 31st at 5:30, Northview hosted a dinner in the cafeteria, gathering veterans in the Northview community to give our thanks and love for their time spent in service of our country.
Before the dinner and speeches begin, the Northview community connects with some of the veterans, welcoming and making them comfortable.
Chana shares his Navy experience and the overflowing emotions he feels when surrounded by fellow veterans.
Following Chana's speech, attendees view a video of a high school basketball coach sharing a testimony on how his military experience helped shaped his basketball team into well-mannered and mindful young men.
Following up the video, the veterans begin to grab their Qdoba and bond over a shared meal.
After the dinner ended, the veterans were honored as part of the pre-game ceremony before the varsity game against Union high school. The teams along with the veterans enter the floor for the national anthem. This tribute ended the night.
The Northview community collectively gives a huge thanks and appreciation to the veterans who served for our country, putting their lives at risk to give our country a heartbeat. Your brave hearts and strong minds saved our country and the lives in it.
