"Finally the winter is leaving us and we can watch the earth burst into life. This is a time of refreshing our homes, thinking about summer and taking in the sunshine."
Surface pattern design is seasonal but winter is generally a time for me to study and draw. The shorter days makes me graviate to the computer.
So what have I created recently?
A new collection inspired by vintage crochet and lace. Studied at a local Irish museum.
This is avaliable for licencing from February 2026. Please contact me via the website.
I wanted to create a watercolour design for wrapping paper. So I doodled and recorded the process for instagram, and this is what I made. I really love this print for spring. What do you think?
I took part in an art challenge. Drawing a 30 minute sketch for 75 days.It is created from a prompt, but is pure imagination. I haven't stretched my creative muscles this much in years. This was one of my favourites. It is on the waiting list for a pattern
A desert scheme for the drawing challenge.
We all need a good research trip for inspiration. This is a beauty! Another future pattern idea with a vintage feel
Ride anyone? This carosel in Paris is near the Eiffel tower. I visited it 30 years ago as a fashion student. It's beauty had always stayed with me.
Quick sketching, getting it on paper, making decisions about colour, composition, elements. This challenge made me quicken my decisions and allowed me to make mistakes. We are always our best critics!
I am working on a collection based on vintage garden memories. Keep watching instragram for little snippets
