Every person has some experience with the contrasting feelings of love and loneliness; two profound human experiences that shape our lives and perceptions. I use the art of street photography to capture real moments between people and the tenuous difference between these two emotions.
My photographs of momentary tender gestures and subtle interactions between individuals highlight the awareness that even in love, we can feel isolated. I have chosen black and white to give the images a sense of timelessness, using the interplay of light, shadow and contrast to emphasize people in the space they inhabit. I aim to create a space for reflection, encouraging people to contemplate their own experiences of love and loneliness.
