Fun Fact: Did you know that there are 30,000 North Korean defectors living in South Korea?
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The Lord has told me many times to be sufficient of His grace and that is what I have done. In spite of my weakness in the language and the fact that I have not made much progress, I gloried in that weakness because God has shown his power beyond the language and has allowed me to share with my neighbour to such an extent that I invited her to church and she accepted my invitation. I have also been able to visit her in her house, pray for her and I have even read her a few verses in Korean. I have seen that God's power has been perfected in me and it has been by His grace that He uses me as an instrument in His hands.

Soongsil University

From the 2nd of September until the 17th of December I attended the theory classes where I learned a lot about the Korean peninsula, I was watching 3 courses so during that time I could not attend the Korean classes so I had to review the level I had learned at home. It was mandatory to attend all three courses so that next year, specifically in August, I will have the possibility to renew my visa and continue my training, especially with the language, which has been a slow process. Thank God for all that I was able to learn. Here is a summary of what I learned.

The first course: Theology of Reconciliation (Exclusion Embrace by Miroslav Volf) This course dealt with North Korean missions and the theology of reconciliation. It was also oriented towards how wounded victims reconcile with their enemies, the perpetrators.

The second course was about how to understand North Korean defectors so we had to study the understanding of the features of North Korean society and culture, as well as the understanding of the psychological and cultural situation of North Korean migrants as well as analysing the missionary approach of the Korean Church towards North Korean migrants.

And finally study the history of the unification movement of the Korean churches for the reconciliation and reunification of North and South Korea. As well as study the history of the North Korean churches after liberation.

Special activity in Soongsil
On the 11th of December a group of about 16 missionaries went to a thanksgiving activity at Soongsil University where some pastors from the churches in Seoul were invited. God gave Alexas the blessing to read her testimony in Korean and we also had the opportunity to praise God in the different languages represented by each of the missionaries; then the director of FRCRC explained what our training is all about. We continue to encourage the pastors to get involved in what God is doing for the North Korean people. I strongly believe that if the South Koreans can't get into the North, they can support in other ways, the most important of which is in prayer.
We long to begin the year 2024 praying together for Korea, so from 1-21 January we will be seeking God's direction regarding this nation.
A Moment of Gratitude

"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

At this time I want to express my gratitude first of all for the most precious gift we have received from God through His Son; but I also want to give thanks that during this year you have been a great blessing in my life.

Thank God I arrived safely in France and I am enjoying the company of my family.

Thank God my mum's elbow is getting better.

Thank God for all that he has allowed me to learn during this year.

Thanks be to God for His provision and care

Join me in Prayer

Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me in every decision I must make; May prayer and reading the word be the foundation of my growth. Wisdom to learn the Korean language and perfect my English Pray that I may continue to learn and enjoy every activity I have during the week (prayer meetings, classes, training, ministry etc.)

God keep me from returning to Korea

For the renewal of visas for some missionaries, God grant that the visas will be renewed without any problem.

God is opening the borders so that the projects can develop smoothly and so that NK can be flooded with God's presence.

May God continue to use my life to impact others, may I continue to make connections with people so that I can show them God's love.

In mid-January I start again with the first level of Korean, may God help me to continue studying with perseverance.
