Vacation I created a postcard for Clearwater Beach, Florida. I learned how to cut out specific parts of images and how to apply textures. My goal was to make a postcard that seemed like it would fit in a normal deck of professional postcards. I feel good about this, especially because of how I made the background. I hope that my audience thinks of this as professional or just under professional in quality.
Connection I created a combination of photos to represent how technology helps you. I learned how to stitch images together in order to make them seem more realistic. My goal was to make an image that seemed realistic. I don't really like this one, mainly because it was nearly impossible to find images that would work together well, which resulted in a poor image.
Ultra Gamer Kitty This is a movie poster for a (not real) movie, “The Loss of the Ultra Gamer Kitty” in this case. I learned how to assign specific colors to ranges of brightness, resulting in a picture with only a few colors. My goal was to create an entertaining poster that seemed like it could represent a real movie. I feel fine about it, but I could have chosen a better color scheme. I hope that my audience sees a funny yet realistic poster.
Sea Voyage This is a book mock-up, made from types of media (paper, metal, etc). I learned how to cut out designs from types of media, cardstock in this case. My goal was to create a book that met my expectations. I feel good about this since the cardstock and shadows really add depth. I hope that my audience sees a cool book when they look at this.
