2024-25 Recap
Goucher and Drew met in the Landmark Conference men’s tennis championship for the fourth straight season, and once again the title came down to the wire at the Central PA Tennis Center. The Gophers struck first by taking two of three doubles matches, then traded points with the Rangers throughout singles play as the match built toward a dramatic finish.
With the score tied 3–3, the championship came down to the No. 1 singles court. After more than two hours of play, Gabe Naftoly outlasted Jesse Faro in a pair of tiebreakers to clinch a 4–3 victory for Goucher. The win secured the Gophers’ seventh Landmark Conference title and a second straight championship, with Naftoly earning Tournament MVP honors after delivering the decisive point.
2026 Men's Tennis Poll
The 2025-26 Landmark Conference men’s tennis voting shaped up to be one of the most competitive in years. Goucher College entered as the defending champion, but Catholic University and Moravian University each earned first-place votes and will push hard for the top spot. Drew University, coming off a tight loss in last year’s championship match, is ready to challenge as well.
Several programs in the middle of the standings, Juniata College, Susquehanna University, and The University Scranton, bring back key players who are ready to make an impact in Landmark play.
Meanwhile, Wilkes University and Elizabethtown College return experienced contributors who could shake things up, and Lycoming College enters the spring looking to gain momentum and notch its first conference wins.
Catholic University
- Head Coach: Nate Farlow (4th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 9-5 (6-2 Landmark Conference)

Catholic enters the 2025–26 season coming off a strong 2024–25 campaign, finishing 9–5 overall and 6–2 in Landmark play, earning the No. 2 seed in the Landmark Tournament.
The Cardinals carried that momentum into the fall 2025 slate, going 5–1, and now head into the spring 2026 portion with much of their lineup intact.
Lorenzo Neri, Diego Romo, and James Earwood headline the returning group, with all three earning All-Landmark recognition during 2024–25. Earwood and Romo were First Team selections in doubles, while Earwood also picked up Second Team honors in singles. Neri earned Second Team All-Landmark in singles and Honorable Mention recognition in doubles.
The Cardinals will look to replace Ben Perks, but the core remains intact, particularly in doubles.
Drew University
- Head Coach: Geoffrey Diehl (2nd Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 12-9 (7-2 Landmark)

Drew comes off a strong 2024–25 season, posting a 12–9 overall record and 7–2 in Landmark play, advancing to the Landmark Championship match before falling 4–3 to Goucher.
The team went 2–0 in the fall 2025 slate and now heads into the spring 2026 portion with experience and depth at nearly every spot in the lineup.
Jesse Faro anchors the returners after earning First Team All-Landmark honors in both singles and doubles during 2024–25, primarily at the top of the lineup. Daniel Arcari also returns, collecting First Team recognition in doubles and Honorable Mention in singles. Drew also brings back Nicolas Mobayed, Shivi Perera, and Ty Gelijns, who saw consistent action throughout 2024–25, providing depth in both singles and doubles.
The Rangers will need to replace Dikshan Chhikara and Josh Kline, but much of the core that pushed Drew to the conference final returns.
Elizabethtown College
- Head Coach: Michael Anderson (9th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 5-7 (2-7 Landmark)

Elizabethtown enters the 2025–26 season coming off a 2024–25 campaign that saw the Blue Jays go 5–7 overall and 2–7 in Landmark play.
Stefanos Billis leads the returners after earning Second Team All-Landmark honors in singles last season and an Honorable Mention nod in 2024. Austin Kohler and Max Lauver also return, providing experience at both singles and doubles spots, with Lauver playing primarily at the top of the lineup.
Etown will need to replace Sam Langer, who contributed in both singles and doubles, but Billis, Kohler, and Lauver give them a solid core to start the spring.
Goucher College
- Head Coach: Debbie Holtschneider (2nd Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 17-8 (9-0 Landmark)

Goucher comes off a dominant 2024–25 season, finishing 17–8 overall and undefeated in Landmark play at 9–0, capturing the program’s seventh conference title. The Gophers edged Drew 4–3 in the championship match, with Gabe Naftoly earning tournament MVP honors.
Naftoly, the 2024–25 Landmark Player of the Year, returns after earning First Team recognition in both singles and doubles. Tadeo Asprella also comes back after a First Team singles season, while Benedikt Rummel returns with First Team doubles and Second Team singles honors.
Guiherme Moraes rounds out a veteran core, giving Goucher experience at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles.
The Gophers will need to replace Jackson Beam and Calis Nguyen, but with four All-Landmark returners back, Goucher enters the spring as the team to beat in the Landmark.
Juniata College
- Head Coach: Eric Gibson (1st Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 5-7 (4-5 Landmark)

Juniata comes off a 2024–25 season in which the Eagles went 5–7 overall and 4–5 in Landmark play, earning the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament. The team secured its spot by winning its last two regular-season matches and made the postseason for the second straight year.
Dillon Murphy, Arthur DeYoung, and Gustaf Geremia return to lead the lineup, providing experience across both singles and doubles. Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez, who was Second Team All-Landmark in singles and earned Honorable Mention in doubles, and Come Burghgraeve are among the key departures.
Under first-year head coach Eric Gibson, the team went 2–1 in the fall 2025 slate and now heads into the spring 2026 portion of the season.
Lycoming College
- Head Coach: Joel Reid (4th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 0-16 (0-9 Landmark)

Lycoming enters the 2025–26 season coming off a 2024–25 campaign in which the Warriors went 0–16 overall and 0–9 in Landmark play.
Josh Neidert, Logan Hammond, and Kayvan Shams return to lead the lineup, providing experience at the top and middle singles positions. The team will need to replace Matt Baldridge and Mo Ebeid, who contributed in both singles and doubles.
The Warriors won two matches in the fall 2025 slate and return their top players for the spring.
Moravian University
- Head Coach: Mariana Freitas (5th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 13-8 (6-3 Landmark)
At A Glance
Moravian comes off a 2024–25 season in which the Greyhounds went 13–8 overall and 6–3 in Landmark play. The team earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament, defeating Susquehanna 4–0 in the opening round before falling 4–3 to Goucher.
The Greyhounds went 3–1 in the fall 2025 slate, with their only loss coming against Division II Kutztown.
Ryan Burke, Roman Farhad, Shayaan Farhad, Joey Kelly, Gavin Labbadia, and Matthew Labosky return to lead the lineup. Shayaan missed 2024–25 due to injury but comes back to anchor the top of the singles and doubles lineups. Joey Kelly earned Honorable Mention in singles as a first-year player last season.
Moravian will need to replace Wyatt Marshall, Ronny Pimentel Ferrer, and Zachary Lebby, who contributed at the top of the lineup and in doubles.
University of Scranton
- Head Coach: Jack Rubano (11th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 5-12 (3-6 Landmark Conference)
At A Glance
Scranton comes off a 2024–25 season in which the Royals went 5–12 overall and 3–6 in Landmark play, missing the postseason for just the fourth time since the league started in 2007–08.
The team won three matches in the fall 2025 slate and now heads into the spring 2026 portion with its top returners back, led by Max Dombrowski and Lucas Kotcho.
Dombrowski earned First Team All-Landmark honors in singles and Second Team in doubles last season, while Kotcho earned Second Team recognition in doubles.
Susquehanna University
- Head Coach: Bob Jordan (30th Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 9-6 (4-5 Landmark)
At A Glance
Susquehanna comes off a 2024–25 season in which the River Hawks went 9–6 overall (4-5 Landmark), and earned a spot in the Landmark Tournament for the first time in three years. Logan Rauschenberger was named Landmark Rookie of the Year and earned First Team singles honors, while Rauschenberger and Tyler Hester made Second Team in doubles.
The team went 5–2 in the fall 2025 slate, going 1–1 in Landmark play, including a win over Elizabethtown and a loss to Scranton.
Rauschenberger and Hester return to lead the lineup, along with Owen Miller, giving the River Hawks experience at both singles and doubles.
Wilkes University
- Head Coach: Scott Veith (2nd Season)
- 2024-25 Record: 6-10 (3-6 Landmark Conference)
At a Glance
Wilkes comes off a 2024–25 season in which the Colonels went 6–10 overall and 3–6 in Landmark play.
The team played one match in the fall 2025 slate, defeating Marywood 5–2 in nonconference action.
Cole Riley, Otarhe Okoh, and Sebastian Sylvester return to the lineup. Nathanial Rathe, a Second Team All-Landmark singles selection, Connor Frey, and Jonah Nguyen are among the key losses.
