Booking your Newborn Session

When is the best time to book my Newborn Session?

It’s definitely best to book as soon as you find out you are pregnant and decide you want a Newborn Session. I will then pencil in your due date and as soon as you have an induction date, c-section date, or as SOON as you have baby then you will contact me to set up a day and time. The best time to do a Newborn Session is when baby is between 6-10 days old and still sleeps a lot and moldable into those cute curled up newborn poses.

If baby is an older baby (over 2 weeks old) I can't guarantee that we will be able to get a lot of the cute curled up poses you normally see with a newborn session since by 2 weeks baby isn't as flexible and moldable BUT we will try our best to get what we can...every baby is different. Baby will most likely have to stay wrapped the whole time. Also.. we might not be able to use the newborn outfits that I have because they are sized for "fresh" newborns.

A non-refundable retainer of $100 is required upon booking to secure your date and the balance will be due at the day of your session.

I do Newborn Sessions Monday-Friday mornings at 10:00am ONLY. Please be sure to make any necessary work or school arrangements to accommodate this morning timeframe. To make things easier, I capture family and sibling poses first so that dads or older children can head back to work or school shortly after their portion is finished.

Newborn Sessions can be offered on a weekend with an extra charge of $150.

Are parent and sibling shots included in my session?

Yes I do like to include parent and sibling shots during a Newborn Session (Full) at no additional charge :)

If there are siblings, I usually do sibling and parent shots at the very first of the session so that dad or another family member can take siblings somewhere else so we can focus solely on baby without distractions. Siblings tend to get bored since a newborn session does last up to 2 hours. If siblings can't leave the studio then I do suggest bringing coloring books or iPad to keep them entertained while they wait.

I do provide all the wraps, headbands, outfits, props, etc. You are welcome to bring anything you have bought that you would like to incorporate into the session such as something from nursery, special blanket, etc.

I also offer Fine Art shots. These are images where baby is Photoshopped into a digital backdrop. Feel free to ask for details on this service.

After The Session

When will I receive my images from my Newborn Session?
