2025 Honors Convocation

Flag bearers, comprised of 13 seniors with the highest academic achievement, had the honor of leading the formal academic procession into Honors Convocation.

James E. & Dorothy R. Blanchard Faculty Fellowship: Eliska Schnabel, assistant professor of political science

The Joyce G. Ferguson 50th Anniversary Faculty Development Fund for the Enhancement of Excellence in Teaching: Ashley Feagin, associate professor of art and art history

Arthur Andersen Teaching Awards

New Teacher of the Year: Stephen Young, assistant professor of economics and management

Distinguished Teaching by a Tenured Member of the Faculty: Elizabeth Barrios, associate professor of modern languages and cultures

Distinguished Teaching by a Junior Member of the Faculty: Emmeline Solomon, assistant professor of art and art history [Not in attendance]

Phi Beta Kappa Scholar of the Year Award: Lucia Soriano, assistant professor of ethnic studies and women's, gender, and sexuality studies

E. Maynard Aris Professorship in Economics & Management: Vicki Baker, professor of economics and management

The 35th Annual Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium included 162 students, who presented 73 platform and 43 poster presentations. The energy throughout the Science Complex was palpable!

Lux Fiat Student Leadership Awards

Guests also were invited to attend an update on the College, learn from current students about their experiential learning opportunities, and attend class with an Albion legend.

Alumni gather to hear President Webster deliver an update on the State of the College.

Gene Cline, professor emeritus of philosophy, returned to the classroom for a discussion-based session with alumni.

Students from a variety of disciplines shared ways experiential learning has shaped their time at Albion and their future outlook.
