Thursday Night Football Player Fantasy Grades

Justin Fields: Fields is coming off a 54 passing yards game against Cleveland and now he will get to face a Patriots defense that allows over 200 yards a game. Fields will be without Garret Wilson tonight who gets the 2nd most target share in the NFL. Fields has struggled all season and there is no chance that this would be his breakout game: Bench Breece Hall: The Patriots allow the least fantasy points to a running back, but last week Breece had 19.5 against a Cleveland defense who allows the 3rd least. Breece ran for 83 yards last week against the Browns who allow the least rushing yards, and now he faces the Patriots who allow the 13th least. The only factor that is hard for Breece is that the Patriots allow 0 rushing touchdowns, but Breece averges 3 redzone snaps a game so hopefully one of those can turn into a score. B Grade

Mason Taylor: Taylor is the Tight End 29 so far this year, and he has been a very promising rookie. The Patriots are the 6th easiest tight end defense, and they allow the 8th most points to tight ends. Mason Taylor’s second most target this year came against the Bengals which is the game that Garret Wilson did not play, and now with Wilson out Taylor will get more volume. Mason Taylor averages a redzone target a game, but he has only caught one. The Patriots allow the 12th fewest tight end touchdowns, so this won’t be Mason Taylor’s day scoring wise. Grade: C+

Drake Maye: Maye is fantasy QB1 this year and he just scored 18.1 vs a Buccaneers defense and now he gets a harder matchup against the Jets. The Jets allow only 203 passing yards per game, but Drake Maye will definitely break that as he averages 255 passing yards and two touchdowns. The Jets do allow the 10th most passing touchdowns per game, and there is no reason for me to give the #1 fantasy QB anything below an A Grade: A

Treyveyon Henderson: The Jets are the 13th hardest running back defense, and now Rhamondre is still out. Henderson last two breakout games came when Stevenson was out, and the 3 games before Rhamondre was injured, Henderson played over 70% of snaps. The Jets allow the 2nd least running back receptions in the NFL, and while Stevenson was gone Henderson had 7 targets for 5 catches showing that he can be a receiving back too, but the Jets will stop that. Grade: B

Steffon Diggs: Diggs is coming off a 15.6 point game against the Buccaneers who are the middle of the leauge against WRs, but the Jets are the 11th hardest WR defense but they allow 10 catches a game to all receivers on a team which is 5th best in the NFL, and for Diggs who averges 5 receptions per game this is bad for him. Grade: C+ Hunter Henry: Henry is the tight end 10 this year and he just had his worst performance with 1.9 points and tgat was against the Buccaneers who are a top 10 tight end defense so im hoping Henry can bounce back against a Jets defense that is in the bottom half of the leauge in tight end defense but they allow the 9th least tight end yards, which is bad for Henry as he is top 15 in the leauge in tight end yards per game. Overall the Jets are a bad tight end defense and Henry is a top 10 tight end so I will put it at this. Grade B-
