All of these students are deeply loved by God, yet many have never heard the good news of Jesus. These are lost, searching for meaning, purpose, and identity in academic performance, social media, approval of others, and financial success.
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'" Matthew 9:36-38
I remember feeling lost as a college freshman, and God used other students and the ministry of Cru to teach me how to walk with God for a lifetime and teach others to do the same. As I surrendered my life and plans to God as a junior, God revealed to me that I was meant to serve Him in ministry with Cru. Now, I have the blessing of introducing students to Christ in evangelism, mentoring and equipping them to walk with God for a lifetime, and sending them out into the world to make disciples for Jesus. In Cru, we call this Win, Build, Send.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations...'" Matthew 28:18
God has invited me into this work to take the Gospel to college students, but I cannot do this alone.
