The Kent Schools Swimming Gala was held in Margate on Saturday. Georgie (Year 8), Eve (Year 7) and Elodie (Year 9) all swum in two races. Georgie got a bronze medal in the backstroke with a new PB, Eve got a huge 10 second PB in the backstroke and came 8th (swimming against competitors a year older) and Elodie came 7th (also swimming against older pupils). We also hosted another swimming gala vs Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School with some brilliant individual performances again. Visit to the Amelia Scott
Named after the Tunbridge Wells social reformer and campaigner for women’s suffrage, the Amelia Scott blends public library and museum in a fascinating building. Boarders in Year 11 and Lower Sixth had an interesting visit to find out what was available for research and for pleasure reading. As well as physical resources, thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers can be read online. After the visit the Boarders headed off for some retail therapy!
All students are encouraged to sign up and access these amazing resources for free.
Sports Night
Our newest boarder, Judy, joined this activity for the first time and this was her first time ever playing netball. She absolutely smashed it with her strong defense skills and goal shooting abilities.
GCSE Options Evening
We had a great turn out at the GCSE Options event this week. It was a very busy evening and hopefully our Year 9 students and their parents came away feeling more informed about their choices for next year. If you have any further questions, please contact Mr Mossman.

Students were given props to use to help develop their imagination and presentation skills. Alongside this students engaged in script work and character development.
