ADMINISTRATOR'S MESSAGE
The staff at H.E.Beriault would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best to your families in 2026. January will be a busy month. We will host our feeder schools for a volleyball tournament on Thursday January 15th . Our HEB senior volleyball teams will help to host this tournament. One note of thanks goes out to Ms. Rakowski in addition to all the staff that will volunteer their time to help with our feeder tournament. We know it will be a huge success! A note of thanks to all of our volleyball coaches who have volunteered their time coaching the senior volleyball teams in what was a wonderful season of volleyball this year. It is important to know that coaching is not an expectation of our staff but a volunteer activity. We are lucky to have a staff that gives time to our students after school to help in the growth and development of their skills. Please help me in personally thanking those staff members that spend countless hours coaching, teaching music, drama, for our drama production, our winter and spring concerts, our tournaments etc... Basketball Season is now upon us, which brings a whole new level of excitement into our gymnasiums. Both the senior girls and boys will be participating in the St. FX basketball tournament this weekend. Regular season starts during the week of January 21st for the boys and January 29th for our girls team. The season will extend until March. During the month of December, our leadership classes collected food items for the poor. On Wednesday January 7th, we loaded 150 lbs of food and donated this to the food bank. Thank you to all families that have helped us with this food drive. Leading students through this type of Christian action at Christmas time was timely. I would like to extend a special thank you to the students and families involved in our food drive and to all homeroom teachers who helped organize this gift of giving on behalf of our school. Our next school council meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan 27th at 6:30 pm in our learning commons (library). Our average meeting length is just over an hour. We will also host an information session for all parents that would like to learn more about the process of registration for high school as well as High School life in Canada and how it prepares our students for postsecondary education. This session is geared towards any new families to Canada and it will be hosted in our library at 5:30 pm one hour prior to our school council meeting. Our Ukrainian interpreter Nataliia will also be in attendance for the parent information session at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, January 27th. We will serve refreshments and a light snack.
