The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) was founded in 1962 by publicist Elanor Lambert and is a non profit trade association comprising a membership of over four hundred and fifty American fashion and accessory designers. The CFDA promotes American designers in the global economy. The awards this year were hosted at the American Meuseum of Natural History, and were presented by Amazon Fashion. Let's kick off with the host of these prestigious awards, Anne Hathaway.
As host of the CFDA Fashion Awards, Anne Hathaway had to outdo everyone else. Hathaway wears a tie dye denim set from Ralp Lauren's Spring/Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear Collection. The set itself is extremely unique being denim and tie dye. Two things I never thught would actually go together but here we are. The bodice of the set is a dark wash of denim with light paisleys, and matching little buttons. The skirt of the set featured pockets on the butt, that would normally be found in jeans. The skirt is a mix of light and dark washes of denim, but go together cohesively. The skirt also features a medium length train, and is floor length. She pairs her set with Bulgari Jelwery.
Kim Kardashian takes on a gothy 2ks inspired look withan embellished black Chrome Hearts halter-dress. The dress istelf has crosses of different sizes embellished into the dress. The dress is floor length, and shapes into a tight cone at the bottom. Kardashian pairs her edgy 2ks dress with black stiletto acrylics, and a messy top knot bun.
With seventy three Women's Tennis Assosiaction Awards, Serena Williams has proven to be stylish both on and off the court. As one of the winners of the CFDA Fashion Awards, Serena is one of the best dressed celebs at the function. Williams wears a gown by Thom Browne. the gown istelf isconstructed of sequiens, that flows into a sweetheart neckline at the top, and two chunky straps. the gown also features a long side train, that is attached to the side of the dress. To accessorize, Williams wears a poofy shrug that has white detail stiching in a sparratic pattern. Williams wears a diamond necklace with the matching diamond ears to further accentuate the white stiching on her shrug.
Daughter of the infamous Family Feud host Steve Harvey, Lori Harvey takes after her father and hits the white carpet in the lastest trends. Wearing a piece from Laur, this is one of the more conservative yet bold outfits that have graced the white carpet. Harvey wears a faux fur off the shoulder cropped top with a matching high waisted skirt. The skirt is floor length and features a thigh high slit. Harvey pairs her faux fur fit with a simple diamond necklace, and black stiletto heels.
Demi Moore has appeared in many films, the most famous one being Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. The esteemed actress attended the CFDA Fashion Awards in a Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear dress. Moore's dress is completely reflective, being made of sparkly sequiens. The dress is ankle length, is strapless and also features large reflective 3D flowers that add dimension to the dress. She accessories her sparkly dress with black Stuart Weitzman heels, a black clutch and diamond rings.
Canadian actress Nina Dobrev is faously known for playing Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in the famously known TV series The Vampire Diaries. Dobrev wears an all gold Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. The gown features fabric layering and sinching towards the left hip to create volume and movement to the gown. Dobrev's dress also features a thigh high slit, and falls below the ankle, but not quite floor length. Looking at the dress front facing with all the lights and camera flahses, the dress actually looks silver in some areas. She acessorizes her gold outfit with equally gold and shiny heels that have three bands wrapping around the foot. She also carries a sparkly gold clutch with gold hoop earrings and gold bangles.
Starring in the 2ks movie series High School Musical, playing Gabriella Montez, and making her debut in the movie Thirteen, Vanessa Hudgens has collected numerous amounts of both fans and fame. At the CFDA Fashion Awards, Hudgens wears a black ball gown and matching opear gloves, both designed by the beloved designer Vera Wang.The dress features a corset bodice with a sweetheart neckline, then flows into layera and layers of black fabric that makes up the skirt. The dress features a mid thigh slit, and a small train. Hudgens acessorizes her ball gown with black opera gloves, and platform square heels.
Esteemed model and spokesperson, Winnie Harlow has made and will still make an impact on the world around her. The model first gained traction when she appeared on the twenty-first cycle of America's Next Top Model in 2014. She has also made herself more prominent by speaking about a skin condition that she suffers from; vitilligo. Harlow wears a Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear dress. The dress is unique because of the pattern, fabric pulls, and shoulder poofs. The first thing that you notice when looking at the dress is the cirlce pattern, but also the shoulder poofs. On the right side, the poof isnt as large, but on the left side, the poof gets larger. On the bodice and skirt of the dress there are two distinct fabric pulls. One on the left hip, and one on the left knee. The dress is also ankle length, and gives the ultra platform heels that Harlow wears a chance to shine. Harlow also wears a diamong U necklace with matching diamond earrings.
