Dear Parent/Carers
We are pleased to confirm the arrangements of our upcoming parent consultation evenings. You will be able to book a 10 minute appointment with your child's class teacher. We are also pleased to say that Sophie Johnson, School and Community Practitioner from the East Riding Family Help Team will be attending on the Wednesday to offer advice and signpost services, so feel free to stop and have a chat with her too.
This term the majority of appointments will take place in person, but the first half an hour of the Thursday evening will be reserved for online video calls as we know these are a convenient option for some parents. For both types of appointments you will need to book a slot on SchoolCloud as before.
The booking access will open at 6.00pm on Wednesday 8th October. This should hopefully give the majority of parents the opportunity to log in out of working hours. The consultations will run on the following days (one before the half term break and one after):
- Wednesday 22nd October: In person appointments 3.50pm - 6.00pm
- Thursday 6th November: Online video appointments 3.50pm - 4.20pm
- Thursday 6th November: In person appointments 4.20pm - 7.00pm
For parents of children in Treetops, please ensure you book your appointment with Miss Peel only. These appointments are only available on Wednesday 22nd October from 3.30 - 6.30pm.
For parents of children in 1HU, please note that Miss Hunter will also only be available on the Wednesday, from 3.30 - 6.30pm. If you are not able to book in on that day, please speak to Miss Hunter or email the office to make an alternative arrangement.
Please note, if some of the online slots remain unfilled, we may open the spare ones as in person appointments nearer the time.
To book an appointment, please visit https://parksideprimary.schoolcloud.co.uk/ and log in by entering your own and your child's details on the login screen. Please note that you will need to log in using the details as we have them in school (e.g. if we know you as Suzanne you will need to input it as such, not as Sue) You will also need to log in with the parent details we have as your child's first contact. If your child has parents in different homes, then each of these parents will be able to log in to make an appointment if we have your details. Please let us know if you are having any issues logging in.
Once booking access opens at 6.00pm on Wednesday you will be able to make your appointment(s). If you have more than one child you should be able to book appointments for each child within one login session.
All you need to attend a video appointment is a device with access to the internet (smartphone, tablet, laptop etc.) There are no apps to download or purchase, the call runs within your internet browser. (More details can be found in the parent guide - see below)
Click below to view the 'how to' guides, particularly if it is your first time using SchoolCloud (The second button includes a video guide to the whole process):
Please get in touch with the office if you have any difficulties using SchoolCloud.
Kind regards,
Miss S O'Brien, Headteacher
