Visitors

Thank you to Chris from NIBs who came to talk about his work installing and maintaining industrial batteries. This linked with the science work Ysgawen completed on energy sources.

We are trying to raise awareness of different jobs and how they link to work in school. If you would be willing to talk to a class or group of children about your job, please let us know.

Goodbye

This week we have said many farewells.

Mrs Davies has finished teaching after 24 years at Forden and was pleased to see parents and old colleagues on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Williams has taught in Collen on Fridays this year and is leaving to start a new teaching job in September.

We said goodbye to our Year 6 pupils and wish them all the best as they move on to high school.

We have also said goodbye to Aadhila, Serah and Corrin who will be starting new schools in September.

Parent Pay

Please clear any outstanding payments on Parent Pay before school reopens in September. Thank you.

When should I keep my child off school? - NHS advice

It can be tricky deciding whether or not to keep your child off school when they're unwell. There are government guidelines for schools and nurseries about health protection and managing specific infectious diseases. These say when children should be kept off school and when they shouldn't.

Safeguarding

If you have any safeguarding concerns, no matter how big or small, please report it. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

If you have concerns or suspicions concerning a child, contact Powys safeguarding team 24 hours/day, 365 days/year by email csfrontdoor@powys.gov.uk or through their online reporting form (Click for link).
