SENIOR SUNRISE:SIGNING IN The senior class of 2026 gather on PRHS’ football field to eat donuts and watch the sun rise

Waking up at the break of dawn to watch the rising sun that symbolizes the start of their final year of high school, Paso Robles High School’s (PRHS) senior class of 2026 had their Senior Sunrise gathering on Sept. 4, 2025. Senior Sunrise marks high schoolers last “first” of the year, and they spend it by preparing to hang out with their beloved friends, reminiscing, playing games, and taking pictures to savor the moment.

Seniors painted, signed, and printed their hand on a poster to show their mark on PRHS.

This event was assembled by senior class officers Kate Harrington, Quinn Kobayashi, Kaile’a Stoltzfus, Kingston Anguiano, Amelia Peterson, Blair Bishop, and Jacqueline Lopez. They provided donuts, drinks, and music to set the morning mood.

With a population of 438 students, class of 2026 arrived at the football field at 6:30 AM with blankets, digital cameras, and custom made “Senior Sunrise!” cardboard frames to take photos with.

Senior Gabby Oliveira looks forward to the start of senior year and a dance show coming up in March. And like the rest of the class, Oliveria is already working on college essays and applications, baffled at how fast things are already flying by.

“It was really fun getting to start senior year because it didn’t feel real at first but once we started writing our college essays it started to feel real. I’ve definitely felt more happy with senior year but it’s definitely starting to get a little scary knowing it’s my last year“ -Oliveira
