Welcome to Maple “The great gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.” —Dr. Maria Montessori

Highlights:-

Welcome back everybody! I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather. The children are always occupied with an activity. They rotate around the following areas in the classroom: the Practical life area , the Math area, the Sensorial area, Science, Language, Art.

We planted flower seeds which the children will take care of everyday by watering them.

Practical Life Skill:-

In the Practical life skills section some of new activities that were presented. The children had been practicing putting lids on and off, Dry scooping, flower arranging, spring dress up. The practice makes the children quite confident and independent with this activity.

Sensorial Area:-

In the sensorial section we introduced new activities to children matching baby animals to their mothers, Rough and smooth (baby animals ), Identifying smells. Children are trying to feel rough and smooth animals with using hand. Hand are media, through them brain receives important information. It help them to prepare the child to become a logical, aware, and perceptive individual.

Science Area:-

This week in science we discussed about Water Cycle, Animals Vs Plants. We talked about characteristics of plants, in that we learned their color is green, they have roots underground, they have seeds and leaves and they can not move themselves. And they also learned the characteristics of animals, in there they eat food, some animals have fur and other animals have scales and can move on their own. The children are identifying and understanding the differences between animals and plants. They really enjoyed this activity and had fun.

Math Area:-

In the math section, children are enjoying to learn counting and one to one correspondence. One-to-one correspondence math activities are simple and a lot of fun for toddlers. These activities are incredibly engaging as well. At an early age it helps set the stage for learning basic math concepts such as addition and subtraction.

Language Area:-

In the Language area children are solving objects based on their initial letter, this helps children learn what the first letter of each object is and how to pronounce the object and also help to learn new words. Children are also learning part to whole object formation, this help children understand part to whole relationship, that two parts can come together to form a single shape or a whole single object.

Art Area:-

In art area, little ones have so much fun gluing and coloring spring objects like flowers, trees, and kites!

Stretch and Grow:-

In gym class, children enthusiastically explore movement and coordination through playful activities involving hoops, toy balls, and nets. These activities promote gross motor skills development, social interaction, and a love for physical activity, setting a foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle.

We hope you will enjoy all the fun activities we are learning and practicing in our maple classroom.

Thank You!
