**This is a longer “Band News” than normal with Tons of information for the start of school. Please read carefully**

Band Registration Forms

Band Registration should only take a few minutes to make sure we have all of the forms we need for the school year. It will include updating your account in Cuttime (our band database), a permission form that will last for the entire school year for any trip we might take, and your band fee. Below are instructions on how to do our online “band registration”. If you have any questions, please reach out to a Rogers Band director, or stop by to see us in person at the schedule walk on Thursday 8/8.

  1. Updating contact info in Cuttime (band database) - You will receive a text or email to the first contact we have in skyward
  2. Completing the Permission Forms
  3. Paying Band Fee(s) that apply to your student

Rogers Band Registration Form

Please use the link above to fill out the band permission forms and a link to pay the band fee for the year. There is a link in the form to pay the band fee(s) with a credit card online. ***IMPORTANT: To avoid a processing fee, select “other” in the dropdown and type $0 located under “Contribution” in the order summary.***

The is also an option to pay with cash/check if you prefer. (**All Payments are deposited in our Rogers Band account within the Walnut Grove Band Booster Association** This HS booster club acts as an umbrella booster club for the MS)

Schedule Walk - August 8th

We’ll be around in the Band Hall if you go to the Rogers Schedule Walk on August 8th. We would be happy to answer any questions you might have about registration or just to say hi. We can also collect any extra forms at the schedule walk if needed.

Beginning Band Members: Order Your Supplies!!!!!

The start of the school year is just right around the corner! Make sure you don’t get behind by not having all of your supplies the first week of school. The music stores have already been scheduling deliveries for families who ordered early.

If you are still needing to reserve your instrument rental or purchase supplies, you can easily go online and reserve these items through any of our recommended vendors on the supply list.

Haven’t chosen an instrument yet? No problem we will work with you on the 1st day of school!!

Returning Students – Class Supplies

Please view the supply list for the required class supplies for all Symphonic Winds, Concert Band I & II students. We are asking all students to have their supplies by the end of the first full week of school 8/23. 7th graders and new to Rogers 8th graders will need to purchase the Foundations for Superior Performance book (Blue Book). This book is instrument specific so make sure you order the correct book for your instrument. You may purchase the book at a local music store or even online retailers like amazon carry them. Percussionists will not need this book.

Hawaiian Waters Celebration

All members of the Rogers, Hays, Jones, Rushing and Reynolds Bands (6th through 8th grade) are invited to participate in the optional Hawaiian Waters Celebration being held on Friday, August 30th from 5pm till 8pm. We have reserved the entire water park all to ourselves!!! That’s right… just the Rogers, Hays, Jones, Rushing and Reynolds Bands!!! The cost is $35 per person and is due on Monday, August 19th by the end of the day! Please see the attached flyer for more information regarding the celebration. The $35 fee will cover entrance to the park and a hamburger or hotdog, chips and a drink. A vegetarian option will also be available. HAWAIIAN WATERS 2024 FLYER

SW, CBI, CBII – First Day of School Pep-Rally

Attention all performing band members. Mr. Jetton has asked us to welcome Rogers students back to school with a pep-rally on the very first day of school. We will play a few pep-tunes and the fight song along with the cheerleaders and drill team. Please click this link with more information and details. (Tentative Schedule)

  • Aug 8th – 7/8 Grade Schedule Walk 5:45pm - 7:00pm
  • Aug. 9th – Drumline Performs at Cockrell Elementary
  • Aug. 13th – First Day of School – Band Performs before School (SW, CBI, CBII ONLY - no beginning band)
