The Photographer

Hi! I’m Adrianne Bodogh, a New England fine art photographer and visual storyteller based in Bedford, New Hampshire. As a second-generation Hungarian raised in a family of artists, I was born with a creative flair that was nurtured by my surroundings. As a lover of art from a young age with a strong passion for expression, I always knew that I would pursue a career in the creative industry. My artistic journey began in 2012 when I found a deep fascination in creating short films and music videos as a hobby. Everyday after school I'd come home and spend countless hours directing small homemade puppet skits, building miniature sets, and crafting scenes by hand. That love for cinematic storytelling eventually evolved into photography, where I discovered a medium that allowed all of those passions to merge into one. As I got more serious about photography during my freshman year of high school, I heavily leaned into resourcefulness; designing and building my own costumes, constructing elaborate headdresses and accessories, and scavenging thrift stores for pieces that could be transformed into something magical. Fine art became not just a style, but a way to push my imagination further and challenge my creative boundaries. My work is a fusion of the influences I’ve gathered over the years and grown to love. Namely, pop culture, folklore, fairytales, gothic aesthetics, and a deep love for the Victorian era. Each one of my work is designed to feel cinematic, immersive, and emotionally charged, blurring the line between fantasy and reality. As a small business owner, building AB Fantasy Flair Photography has been challenging in all the best ways. I am deeply passionate about what I do, and my ultimate goal is to offer my clients a magical, empowering form of self expression where they can see themselves as art.

Fun Facts About Me

  • My first language is Hungarian.
  • A majority of my hobbies consist of nature photography and bone taxidermy. I love all things nature, hiking, and camping!
  • I have an UNHEALTHY obsession with tracking and photographing moose, and yes, it’s gotten me to be disturbingly good at imitating cow and bull calls to lure them in during the rut.
  • I witnessed the 2024 total solar eclipse, and it was AMAZING.
  • I went to see the filming of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in November of 2023, and got a photo with Jenna Ortega and a wave from Tim Burton just a few feet away!

Inquiry

When you first reach out to me, you will be emailed a session questionnaire and this welcome packet to help guide you through your upcoming session. We will then schedule a phone consultation to explore your personality, vision, and session details. This is the perfect opportunity for you to share in-depth ideas or inspirations, ensuring that we tailor your session with precision and uniqueness to meet your needs. If you're unsure or need assistance with bringing your vision to life, I'm here to help beyond the lens. From conceptualizing your session and suggesting suitable locations to providing access to talented hair and makeup artists, my commitment is to make your photo session an all-encompassing, enjoyable experience. Furthermore, our consultation will also cover pricing, deposits, contracts, and addressing any other questions you may have.

Contract & Deposit After our consultation, I will provide you with the deposit invoice and a contract outlining the terms and conditions of your session. To secure your booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, payable via check, money order, cash, or any major debit or credit card. Please note that cards are subject to a 3% processing fee. If opting for a money order, please make it payable to 'Adrianne Bodogh,' not 'AB Fantasy Flair Photography,' as businesses lack an ID. Please keep in mind, your session date is confirmed only upon payment of the deposit and signing of the contract.

Planning Building on our discussed ideas, I'll conduct further research and reconnect with you to refine any specific details. Whether you explore AB Fantasy Flair Photography’s wardrobe collection or repurpose your own old Halloween costumes, prom dresses, wedding gowns, or thrifted finds, we'll integrate the looks and colors into your session's vibe. I love to curate and collaborate with clients on a Pinterest board for inspiration. While the responsibility for makeup and hair lies with the client, I can enhance your experience by recommending talented artists. The rates for these additional services are set by the artists themselves and are paid directly to them, subject to their availability.

The day of your session Let the fun begin! On your session day, we'll meet at our agreed-upon location with hair and makeup already done, and we'll take care of your remaining session fee. If you need to do any wardrobe changes, no worries, fantasy sessions especially have plenty of time scheduled in for touch ups and perfecting every detail at a calm and relaxed pace. If you're new to this or feeling a bit camera-shy, no worries! I have plenty of tips to help you pose and coach expression. I strive to maintain a laid back and enjoyable atmosphere, so feel free to bring along your favorite music for a jam sesh or invite a friend to join us. I'll make sure you feel confident and HYPE YOU UP throughout the session!

Selections After your session, I'll carefully cull the photos, excluding any outtakes. Within 3 days, you'll receive an unedited, watermarked preview. This allows you to choose and order retouched photos, aligning with your package. You're also more than welcome to order more photos if you so chose. Proofs and finalized photographs will be conveniently delivered through an online gallery on the platform "Pixieset".

Delivery An album of stunning high-resolution digital images will be presented on your very own private online viewing gallery where they will be available for download. Depending on the session, delivery time can take anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks. Enjoy the convenience of web-sized files designed for effortless sharing on your favorite social media platforms. Quickly allowing you to spread the joy of your cherished photographs with friends and loved ones!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a studio?

I do not as I mainly shoot outdoors on location. Many of my indoor work you may have seen in my portfolio or on social media were actually either shot at clients' houses, where we transformed a space to make it look like it was from another realm, or it was a self portrait shot at my own private residence that I did as a side project.

Do I need to pay a deposit when scheduling a shoot?

Yes. When you book a shoot, I set aside that time for you. If the shoot is canceled, I have lost time with potential clients. Therefore, I require a non-refundable deposit prior to the shoot in case of cancellation. The rate is 50% for all types of sessions.

What happens if I need to reschedule a shoot?

If you need to reschedule, your retainer fee will go towards the cost of the rescheduled shoot. If you have to cancel the shoot, your retainer fee will not be refunded. Maintaining communication throughout the whole process is very important, so please keep me informed of any scheduling concerns you may have.

What happens if it rains or there's bad weather on the day of my session?

I consistently check the weather prior to the days leading up to your session if it’s an outdoor shoot. I always try to reschedule if possible and find an alternative date in case of bad weather.

How long does the editing/ delivery process take?

Since it takes some time to review and professionally edit your photos, you should expect to see the link to your private gallery no later than 4-8 weeks after you have placed your order. However, for fantasy shoots, it's around 6-10 weeks. If you are working with a time constraint, please let me know in advance as I charge a 40% rush fee for anything earlier than my usual workflow.

Can you provide the RAW, unedited files?

Unfortunately, I cannot. I spend hours diligently editing my work to add my own personal style to every photo I deliver, so providing images any other way, would simply not represent my brand.

Can you help me choose a location for my session?

Absolutely! I find it best to shoot on location using natural light, whether it's at your home, in nature, or in your backyard. We can choose a setting where you feel most comfortable, allowing for relaxed, natural poses. I have shot at countless locations around New England and beyond! Some are popular photo spots, but many are locations that I stumble upon with clients while simply exploring! I have an abundance of suggestions for gorgeous locations ready to kickstart your imagination and bring your concept to life!

How much is the AB Fantasy Flair Photography Closet add-on?

You can get full access to the closet with just a $30 add-on to your session fee

Why aren’t the dresses available in every size?

The dresses available at AB Fantasy Flair Photography were carefully curated over a long period of time, and the collection originally started as dresses I purchased for photoshoots with models and clients. I would love to expand the range of sizes I carry in the future, but as of now, most of the dresses are in the 0-8 range.

What happens if I damage or lose the dress/jewelry/prop?

I totally understand that dirt and small blemishes will happen during the course of rentals. However, if substantial damage is done to the items or it gets lost, I will charge the full product value of the item plus a $20 restocking fee. If an item is damaged but repairable, a cleaning or repair fee will be charged based on the damages. I hope that you will treat the items like you borrowed them from a friend or sister!

How far in advance do I need to book?

In order to ensure availability, we should get your date booked as soon as possible, especially if it's a fantasy session that requires concept creation and planning. Ideally, 1-2 months in advance, which I HEAVILY encourage. However, if the spot is open on my calendar, it's yours!

What if I need you to stay longer than expected?

For extensive and fantasy sessions, especially, I keep your whole day open, so if you need me to stay longer than we originally scheduled, just let me know! I will invoice you for the additional coverage at the end of your session.

How are the images delivered?

First, you will receive proof sheets of the unedited photos in a watermarked format to select your desired images within the amount of what your package allows to be retouched. Once the images have been retouched, you will receive your images with a link including a password with which to access your very own private album via Pixieset. Images will be available for high-resolution download. Web-sized files are complimentary for easy sharing on social media sites.

I know what kind of look I want, but I'm not sure how to go about achieving it. Can you help me?

Yes! I’d be more than thrilled to create a mood board with you and help make suggestions, whether that be location, wardrobe, etc, to better accommodate what you may have in mind.

It's my first photoshoot. Will I be guided during it?

Of course! I have many tips and recommendations for you, even if you’re flying solo or with friends. I will help you pose, coach expression, and just overall bring out your awesome personality.

Can my pet(s) be a part of the shoot?

Yes, they can! For pets, there is a $10 fee per pet.

What type of payments do you accept?

I accept payment through checks, money orders, cash, and any major debit or credit card. Please note that cards are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Do you travel?

Yes! I'd be more than happy to. But please note that anything outside of Bedford, NH's 25-mile radius is subject to travel fees calculated using the federal reimbursement rate and also possible lodging fees if appropriate for the occasion.

Getting Ready & What to Wear

What to wear: I get this question a lot, and there’s no single “right” answer. The best choice is something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and reflects your personality. Some clients prefer a simple, timeless look, while others lean fully into fantasy and creativity. Both photograph beautifully! For fantasy sessions, you’re welcome to use pieces from the AB Fantasy Flair Photography wardrobe, repurpose your old costumes, formalwear, or thrifted finds. If you plan to use my collection, please let me know your selections a few days in advance so I can prepare them for your session. Planning: You'll have the option of collaborating on a Pinterest mood board together to align on colors, styling, and overall vibe. Feel free to add inspiration and share ideas as they come up beforehand. Timely communication is very much encouraged, which helps ensure you have a successful session that meets expectations. Hair & makeup are the client’s responsibility, but I’m happy to recommend trusted artists if desired. Artist rates are set by them and paid directly, based on availability. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start on time. Wardrobe changes are welcome as fantasy sessions especially, are scheduled with plenty of time for touch-ups and perfecting details at a relaxed pace. If you’re ever unsure about styling or prep, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help :)

Wardrobe & Styling Tips

  • Try to avoid logos, brands, or advertisements on clothes. Styles will change, and you want your photos to be timeless.
  • Steer away from busy/flashy prints and patterns if we are shooting downtown or similar locations where the background will be busy.
  • Consider if you want to avoid colors that will blend in too much with the location that we are shooting at. For example: A brownish-green if we are shooting at a prairie, or blue if you want to shoot in front of a lake may not be too practical if that's not the style you're looking for.
  • Creating movement with clothing is fun and creates very visually pleasing photos. Flowy dresses or skirts, for example, work perfectly.

AB Fantasy Flair Photography Closet

Explore and choose from a large array of wardrobe pieces and accessories, all sourced by AB Fantasy Flair Photography. This extensive collection comprises a combination of items that were purchased and/or custom-built over the years. Many of the items you’ll see are one of a kind, handcrafted pieces, especially the headdresses and mermaid tops!

Photo Retouching, Composites & Creative Editing

I capture images in RAW file format to preserve maximum information for high-quality retouching. Underexposed shadows or overexposed highlights are easily corrected in post-processing. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop and the frequency separation technique, I achieve impeccable results, hiding blemishes while preserving skin texture for a magazine-like quality. My retouching extends to color correction, removing distractions like stray hairs or background elements, and culminates in signature artistic edits.

Moreover, I enhance skin with highlights and shimmer, bringing out details in jewelry and costumes. I add elements for aesthetic balance, altering colors seamlessly for varied looks. Even with reused outfits, we can create distinct appearances by merging multiple photos, to achieve the perfect blend of poses and elements, ensuring each scene is meticulously crafted.

Compositing is the art of merging visual elements from separate sources into a single image, creating the illusion of a unified scene. It's my favorite service to offer clients, ideal for those seeking something extraordinarily special. The possibilities are endless, allowing us to explore imaginative routes and turn any vision into a reality. These are particularly beneficial for budget friendly locations, since compositing can transform mundane scenes into spectacular worlds. Please note that due to the customized and time intensive nature of this special service, an additional $25 per image is charged.

Testimonials

"Working with Adrianne was amazing, she made me feel comfortable instead of demanding anything. She took time to talk to me, get to know me, and never rushed me nor belittled me. This made me feel like a real person to them rather than just a model for the photographer! I was able to openly give any ideas of mine and was never shut down. If you are looking for someone who will catch your best most comfortable self with amazing ambiance she is your person!" - Jess H.

"Working with Adrianne from AB Fantasy Flair Photography for my product photos was truly an unforgettable experience. Adrianne has such an incredible talent for creating images that feel both magical and timeless. She went above and beyond during my shoot, even hiking up a steep, extremely rocky, treacherous stairway with all of her equipment just to capture the perfect spot and angles for my candle photography. (That she scoped out beforehand to find the perfect spot for our shoot) The results were absolutely stunning and perfectly reflected the moody, enchanting aesthetic I was envisioning. What really stood out to me, beyond her artistry, was how comfortable she made me feel during my portrait session. I’m usually not someone who enjoys being photographed, but Adrianne’s fun, kind, and professional presence put me completely at ease. She captured me in a way that felt authentic and true to the vibe of my brand. Adrianne is not only incredibly skilled and extremely detail oriented, but also very professional, timely, and an absolute joy to collaborate with. Her work speaks for itself, ethereal, moody, and full of magic." - Lindsay M.

"Adrianne was professional and a pleasure to work with. She executed my vision to a tee. The photos came out better than I could’ve dreamed of. She made me feel comfortable and safe while shooting with her and made sure to communicate/direct me to make sure the images turned out exactly how I wanted. She made me feel like a rockstar!" - Genesis M.

"When Adrianne and I had our shoots, it was always a very pleasant experience and a memorable day. Never once was I uncomfortable. She explained everything we were doing, and what her vision was, so I was involved in the process and it felt like we were making art together. I believe in her vision and talent and it was a true joy to shoot with her every time I’ve done it." - Abi G.

"My experience with Adrianne was incredible! She is easy to work with, very friendly, and client-oriented. She was very prepared ahead of time with organizing the photo shoot and getting everything put together correctly. She made a Pinterest board beforehand to help prepare. She made the experience one of a kind and not like any other. Her work shows as much as her character. She is a very talented and well put together photographer who would work well with your schedule and your photoshoot preferences. My favorite part of this experience with Adrianne, was since I was not too familiar with the modeling aspect of the shoot, she really helped me put together poses and tackle that exact vibe I was aiming for. Again, as a client entering a new photoshoot environment for the first time, Adrianne made me feel very comfortable. She is very easy to talk to and very understanding of your experience and comfort zones. I would definitely recommend Adrianne to be your photographer. She spends many hours editing and making sure every detail in her photography work is perfect! I will definitely be seeing her again for more photoshoots in the future. I would rate her five out of five stars for her incredible work and outcome of the shoot. Thanks, Adrianne! Let’s shoot again!" - Matt K.

"Working with Adrianne on our several shoots was phenomenal. She provides a professional atmosphere while also making sure her models are comfortable. During our times working together, she's made me feel confident with how I looked, while also giving helpful directions to help the pictures look even better. The outcome always shocks me. She can make any photo look so magical and breathtaking. I look forward to working with her in the future and recommend Adrianne to anybody in need of professional photography." - Sara S.

"Adrianne is super professional. She has her direction with the shoots but makes sure you’re comfortable during it. She always makes me feel like the role I am posing with compliments and props. The photos always come out amazing even before she edits them. I would always recommend her to people who want some photos done!"    - Meghan S.

"Adrianne is an extremely creative, talented, and perceptive photographer that captured the Ice Queen look perfectly. The ice queen shoot we did came out amazing and during the shoot, I felt incredibly comfortable and heard in the sense that Adrianne understood what I was looking for and achieved it. I would 100% recommend Adrianne to anyone looking for a talented photographer that understands what her models are looking for. Her pictures are all unique and inspiring and I was very lucky to have worked with her." - Elyse B.

"Having the photoshoot with Adrianne was a blast! She was incredibly fun to be around and made me laugh! Even though the weather was a bit chilly, she made things quite enjoyable! She was quite a professional and definitely knew what she was doing. Shooting with her was essentially like shooting with a friend—although, we were already friends, to begin with as we met in Highschool—and it was just a very uplifting and unique experience. I’m not one to like having my photo taken but she always cheered me on and kept telling me I looked good, so I always felt incredibly confident during the shoot. Working with her was a jive and I’d absolutely do it again!"  - Sam L.
