Columbus Museum of Art Adventure

Columbus Symphony Adventure

Columbus Museum of Art Adventure

February 4

Included parking, full museum access with interactive exhibits, lunch, activities by Soundscape Music Therapy, scavenger hunt, face painting, family resource area, and an A Kid Again coloring bag with a Where the Wilds Things Are book for each kid.

"We most likely wouldn’t have gone to the art museum. I’m so happy we went because my girls loved it. This was a great Adventure to try something new and find out how much we loved it."

Columbus Symphony Adventure

February 19

Included parking, private show by Columbus Symphony, red carpet interviews, instrument petting zoo, balloon artist, and snacks.

My son was able to enjoy a musical show where he could be himself and not be judged for his autism. He loved the strings group.

Columbus Blue Jackets Adventure

March 24 and April 2

Included parking, reserved seating, food vouchers, Blue Jackets sling bag with activities, and an opportunity to go on to the ice rink for a shot on goal.

We liked being able to experience something new as a family. We have never been to a hockey game. It was a wonderful experience for all of us!

Welcome Adventure

March 31

The Easton Chiller

We piloted a program to encourage attendance by families that have enrolled in the past six months but haven't yet attended an Adventure. The goal was to be a soft introduction to an Adventure with a smaller group to remove any hesitations about participating in the larger program.

Included ice skating, Q&A with staff and families, pizza party, and a mini-hockey stick.

It was a super welcoming environment. We had a great first A Kid Again experience! We are so excited for our next Adventure.

Ohio State Spring Game Adventure

April 15

Included tickets, food vouchers, pom-poms, a visit from Brutus Buckeye, and an opportunity to go on the field after the game for pictures and autographs.

We had an AMAZING time and got to experience something as a family that we never have before. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Ohio History Connection Adventure

May 7 and 14

Included museum access, passport for additional Ohio History Connection locations, activities hosted by Ohio Village Muffins and Columbus Children's Theatre, popsicle treats, and boxed deli lunches.

We loved that this Adventure didn't feel too crowded. It was great for our sensory needs and we didn't have to worry about waiting in line for anything. It was nice to have indoor and outdoor activities and lots of space to play and explore.

DreamNight at the Zoo Adventure

June 2

Included access to zoo, Adventure Cove rides, and animal encounters, plus exclusive access from 7-9 p.m. for A Kid Again families only, special guests, dinner, Adventure t-shirt donated by Spirit Services, and a light-up memento.

We liked just being able to get out and walk around. We had been cooped up in a hospital for 8 months, then all the follow-up appointments. It was nice just to go do something that wasn’t hospital related!

Rides and Slides Adventure at Kings Island

July 16

Included parking, park access, food vouchers, family rally with cartoon characters and ice cream treats, and scavenger hunt.

Thank you for these memories! I know a lot of us didn’t know if we’d ever get to have these moments with our kiddos, so being able to in such a warm and friendly environment, surrounded by other parents who are just so grateful to have a day with their kids, is just EVERYTHING to me.

Capes & Crowns Walk and Family Fun Fest

September 17

Huntington Park

Included parking, food vouchers, Touch-A-Truck, bounce houses, games, activities, mascots and special guests.

It was amazing. Langston loved dressing up. He’s been having a tough week. It was nice to see him smile whenever he saw the superheroes.

Fall Adventures

Anytime Adventure at Dawes Arboretum

Fall Fascination Adventure at Grange Insurance Audubon Center

Anytime Adventure

August - November

Dawes Arboretum

Included tickets for admission to Dawes Arboretum when it is most convenient for the family, scavenger hunt, and a STEM activity kit.

It was fun to explore on a pretty fall day and see the leaves begin to change, but also many pretty summer flowers! Enjoyed exploring at our own pace, and loved the kids nature play area.

Fall Fascination Adventure

October 20

Grange Insurance Audubon Center

Included trolley rides around park, falconry exhibition, tree planting station, environmental science stations, smore making station, snacks, and a take-home treehouse to paint.

Being able to experience a fun family day out with no cost to us. Therapies are expensive which limits our experiences that we get to take due to finances.

Butch Bando's Fantasy of Lights

November 16

Included admission to the drive thru light display, activity pack for car, and visits with local first responders.

My youngest had the best time ever! Going on these Adventures and knowing they are for him makes him feel so good about himself.

Holiday Adventure

December 9

Ohio Expo Center - 2 sessions

Included photos with Santa, iceless skating rink, VR gaming trucks, bounce houses, crafts stations, live music, reading room, holiday treats, and a gift for each child and parent.

These are things we would never have been able to do without A Kid Again!

And A Kid Again could not provide these healing experiences for these families without your support.

Thank you!
